A great version of a great tune from an awesome album from a true artist ! I would like to see all these acoustic versions on CD ! I have always loved his use of flute and acoustic guitar, one of my favorite musical combinations. Heavenly !
Me and my wife saw Steve`s acoustic show in a Church in Bochum, Germany in November 2007. What shall I say, he`s been my idol for 35 years now. A bestaggering atmosphere, a breathtaking technique. And besides, after the show a friedly and gentle Steve would give autograms and talk with his fans. Who else would do that. For me he is a real artist.
Sorry guys, didnt like the acoustic trio stuff, found it boring to be honest. Shame this is what happened to one of my FAVE Steve Hackett instrumentals.
I'd much rather listen to Steve's heavy duty rock music instead.
So Hackett's solo music has finally reached it's logical conclusion---light, airy-fairy easy listening music for aging hippies and progheads to stare at their New Age crystals to...oh well...
I never put forth the notion that I could "do any better". Don't get me wrong, I love Steve Hackett and Genesis, but I just think this Acoustic Trio stuff is a tad too lightweight for my taste...

This is simply amazing.... the purity of the melodies... the arrangements... what a piece of music.

It just shows his versatility, and the complexity of this musical arrangement.

I like this! It's a little refreshing change of pace on how this song normally sounds. I love the Ian Anderson style of flute playing employed here.

Acording to me, it's not one or another.
I like both and one make the other one more enjoyable.
I heard Steve playing very loud his old tunes lately in a tiny club. Don't worry, he still can and like to perform these that way !

I can assure you I'm not worried! LOL I have good faith in Steve still performing
