That's called a double play and they happen all the time. Granted this particular double play had a little flare in the form of a behind the back flip. If you want to see more plays like this one, just watch Baseball Tonight's "Web Gems" on any given night.
yea it's posible. it happened in a most recent game. i was whatching the game. i forgot what teams but it was the shortstop that fielded it and tossed it behind his back to the second basemen for a double play
the cpu has done that to me several times but everytime i try to turn a dp, it takes my guy forever to throw to second and the runner always breaks it up

u don't know if its physically possible? At baseball practice we would screw around turning dp's like this all the time with gloves only

adam everett doesn't wish he could do that because he can do it. he losses value because he can't it, but on defense he is the man.
he is the best defensive shortstop in the game IMO..

Uh...yeah, it's entirely possible. And it's been done...many times, by many different real-life shortstops.
And - are you read for this? Some second basemen have been known to do it....in the opposite direction!
Unbelievable!!!

MAke sure you hold the "R" stick in a direction before the ball is picked up to preload throws.
