  • i dunno. i think that he is a little racist. it was disrespectful definitely, but the comment itself wasn't racist.

  • I believe he was not being racist. He was being a dick, but not a racist.

But his openness to saying the word gook is racist.

  • it was disrespectful, but not racist. i dont think mccain is racist

  • you guys do realise mccains adopted daughter is blacker then obama right?

  • That's racist??? Give me a break. You people need to grow up. Uh oh, "you people!!!!!" Now I'm racist!!!

  • I don't particularly think it was racist. To be entirely fair, if you pay close attention to the language and context he was using, he was referring to which candidates voted for/against something. In that specific context, using "That One" would mean pointing to the "other" candidate.

That being said, I really think McCain should have been wiser with picking his words.

I loathe McCain. he's full of BS and has the redneck Repusblican on steroids mentality. Let's hope he doesn't win this one.

  • OF course NOT. It is, however, an act of disrespect, idiocy, disregard, arrogance, and flippancy. It's careless to just throw allegations of racism around this way.

  • Because democraps throw that word around about everything.Didn't you know that if you don't vote for Osama your a racist?

Now people will call Me a racist for calling Obama~ Osama. Its pretty discusting, but it will only get worse if obama is voted in.I can see it now.A nice big socialist country with Obama telling me how high I can have the heat turned up in my house, and when I can wipe my own ass

  • i don't get how "that one" ties to racism, someone please clarify that to me.

  • That wasn't a racist comment, but it was a comment that showed a total lack of respect for Obama, and also hinted at McCain's contempt for Obama.

McCain is basically emotionally unfit to be President.

  • Here's the thing: racism (in a broad def) is discriminating based on race. Calling someone "that one" is disrespectful, but not racist. The only possible reason one could label this racist is because he is demeaning a black man. I think McCain is setting himself on fire by attacking Obama like he does, but you are being racist because you are singling out the fact that Obama is black.

  • McCain is looking more desperate in his campaigning. He still needs to offer more incentives for middle class Americans. The major issues are health care, job creation and alternate energy. The answer isn't as simple as 'drill baby drill'!

  • mcCain sucks ass!

  • I looked in Senator McCain's eyes and I saw one letter, three times! -- a K, a K and K,"

  • How the fuck is calling someone the one racist?

  • he said "that one" u ass.

  • Still not fucking racist. I didn't hear him say the n word. Did you?

  • LMFAO, my baby brother has the common sense to know dat thing was racist. go fucken research wut being a respectful person mean n u will understand. it was prolly an acident, but wut he said was racist

  • it wasnt racist. im white, if i was to call another white person "that one" you wouldnt consider it racism, probably because im white. if a black man said it to a black man you wouldnt consider it racism, because hes black. the defanition is right in the dictionary people, racism is singling people out becuase of their race, no matter what you are, so mccain said that one. who cares. if you really think about it racism IS racism becuase you are pointing out tht that person is different. grow up.

  • omg, ur making it so hard for you to understand. ders sum terms if u call upon ur own ethnic group that can be excluded. if a black person calls another black person niggar, its not racist, but hey, we cant call dem dat!!!!! saying "dat one"?????? wow, its direspectful, and ITS RACIST because the way he said it could have hurt other some or most black people. y wont u go to ur black friends n refer dem as a "thing"??? see if dey get mad

  • i did. and guess what. they laughed. im white, a vast majority of my friends are black, iv been around black people most of my life, a lot of them have been my life long friends. im simply pointing out tht when you point out something is racist youre bringing it up yourself that that person is different

  • wow ur friends??? i have mexican friends, n no matter how racist i am to dem, dey laugh too. im talking reality -_- but watever, dis conversation will never end, u win, u should be happy. i guess nothing is racist for u unless its "brought up" by someone who thinks a statement is racist. n yeah, i totally get what ur saying... but yeah, ima just stop for u

  • My God, you're a fucking idiot.

  • O.o k??? weird how your telling some random person their an idiot , you know what.... your gay =]

  • somethin' doesn't have to have

the "n word" in it for it to be

    racist you ignorant dumb ass.

  • ok... mccain has some serious issues. to refer to a senator such as Obama as "that one showed that he is downright desperate, and has no type of class whatsoever and who told himt o run for president anyway? whoever even suggested that he run should get smacked. we do not want nor need a leader such as him. he is the very sght of him sickens me.

  • "that one" and not shaking hands??

You gotta be kidding me. McCain is a joke!

    BARACK FOR PRES!!

  • you are so funny

  • No he's not racist, just because he used the word GOOK back in 2000, no, there is not a single racist bone in his feeble 72 year old ass. His generation is the enlighten generation.

  • don't think it was racist but i do think it was disrespectful and rude

  • I don't think it was racist, but it did bother me enough to make a t-shirt about it:

    voteforthatoneshirts. com

  • What is even more telling is when McCain says

"you people" in the same sentence. He proves he does not consider himself one of us. We need one of us running this country so that when they address the pundits and politicians they can rightfully refer to them as "you people".

  • Give me a break! McCain's campaign has been using "that one" as a slur against Obama for a while now!

McCain is down and desparate. Very sad.

No Senator would call another Senator "that one."

Would McCain call another world leader "that one"?

    Scarey!

  • McCain reminds me of Frankenstein.

  • Racist? Um, no.

Who are you? Howard Dean? Race-baiting is just as bad as racism.

  • This one... THAT WON 08 copyright d.wince

  • No it was Not a racist remark you MORON!!. He was simply making a distinction between one candidate and the other candidate. You must be a racist for suggesting it or your racially paranoid. OMG you need psychological help. Please go see a psychiatrist.

  • THAT ONE IS THE BOSS, MCLAME!!!!!!!

  • I don't like McCain at all, but I didn't see that as racist... come on now...

  • John McCain looks like Santa Clause.

  • It may or may have not been a racist comment, but it was definitely disrepectful. A man of his stature should learn to respect others. Obama desearves that.
