@ilovehammies98 They DO need heaters. Optimal temperature for a betta is 80 F. Any lower than that and they are sluggish and have shortened lifespans. Btw, 3 years is a rather young for a betta. Most should be living 6-7 years if they are cared for properly.

You should get a heater. Bettas are tropical fish. Nice setup though.

@volleyballlibero1996 but they dont need heaters. they are optional. I've never had heaters for my bettas and they lived for 3 years!
