Alstom trains are the best in metro's fleet even though I'll miss the old Rohrs when they retire. The sound is what set them apart from the 2000, 3000, and 6000 cars which all sound the same, which kinda sounds like topical Alstom mechanics. NYC's R160 for example.

@MrConraal Indeed, the Rohrs have a certain distinct sound, which came about during their mid-1990s rehab. Meanwhile, the 2000/3000-Series can actually be differentiated from the 6000-Series if you listen carefully. There's an extra sound on the 2000/3000s when they take off that the 6000s don't have.

Also, yes - the R160s sound mostly like the 6000s, but the first bit of the startup is different.

@schuminweb Yeah you can still hear a hint of the old 3000 series that also sounds like the 4000 series. And there is also the cool whistle that you sound to.

@saveus444 Where do you get the Breda sounds from? There's no Breda equipment in that train. The first two cars are Alstom, the next two are Rohr, and the last two are CAF.
