@krackajackfoo Hey great review,I learnt alot:). Do you wear any converse chuck taylors? If so what size do you wear because I am planning on buying these but I am lost as to what size I should be getting.
I have flexibility issues and I was gonna buy the Risto but they changed the toebox according to you. See I have flat feet and I wear a Size 12 EE New Balance Trainer (a bit loose). Since Risto does not seem as I good idea, what do you recommend?
@nahal056 Ya, the toebox is more rounded and a little more snug, but they also made the heel cup more pronounced. I actually found that after wearing these for about 5-6 workouts, they broke in and feel really good on my feet now. I wear a standard E in width though, so you may still have issues. I don't know of any shoe that will fit a EE width; BUT, Risto can make you a custom shoe if you want to pay the fee. If you find anything else that works let us know! Best of luck!
@krackajackfoo I checked their website and the custom costs 220$+75$, may take up to 20weeks or even more! am not a competing powerlifter and am only gonna use the shoes for Squats&Leg Presses and to fix my form (flexibility issue), so this price is way too much for me. I also heard that the Rouge may be good for wide feet. What do you think of that? plus am around 178cm and 120kgs, do you think the 0.75" heal is suitable for my height? Was considering the VS but ur review say they're too high.
@nahal056 I wouldn't buy anything made by Do-Win, they are crap. Plus, they aren't any wider than the Risto. The VS would probably work, but again, they aren't any wider than the Risto will be. I think my complaint about width is that the old Ristos were actually square and roomy like a boot, whereas the new model with the taper felt pretty tight until you break them in. The romaleos are probably the only other wide toe-box shoe.
Thanks for the review! This is a real good shoe. I ordered 1 size to big on accident but they still fit decent. Recently I had a 1/4 heel extension put on and it has helped with the lifting (not a flexible person). Ivan Rojas said he could make a shoe with a taller heel if you ask, but he never got around to doing it, that's why I got the extension put on instead of getting another pair.
The bag they come in is handy too, carries all the stuff I take to the gym.

Thanks. Fair review. I have a custom pair from a few years ago I really like. But I'm glad mine have the larger toebox.
