his voice has faded just a little but still is great an yes 4 octaves..

one thing Roy Orbison had a voacla range of 5 octaves!! here are only very very few that have 5 ocataves.. only know of 2 actualy,,, Orbison and Mariah Carey ik know there are a few more but cant call them by name right now sorry

always love to hear him sing though as we did on long rides in the car on vacations etc (sometimes took us 20 hours or more) great really great

Slim had great voice control. How many singers do you see back away from the mike when he hits those really high notes like in "Indian Love Call? He knew what would make the best sound.

This is one of my favorites. My daddy is 90 yrs. has alheimzers & I asked if he remembered Slim & he said "Yes, he's the guy that could yodel the prettiest I ever heard. He did that "Indian Love Call." Slim will always be remembered.

@Karenjayne149 Raul Malo, late of the Mavericks is the modern day Slim Whitman and Roy Orbison rolled into one; but both were incomparable. I was privileged to see both in Glasgow, Scotland on many occasions including Slim's final tour in late 2002, I believe.
