Settings were:

my colors OFF

Auto white balance AUTO

movie mode STANDARD

resolution set to 1280x720

iris setting which is the +/- button right above your FUNC SET button. The iris level was set to the middle (which is default)

It does have optical and digital zoom. It has auto focus, no manual focus.

In Pinnacle Studio 14. I could be lying to myself; I have no proof up-sampling made the quality better, it just looked smoother on all the computers I tested it on.

yeah, i ave a question. how is the video in 1080p? if the camera only shoots at 720p?

@eladbari I up-sampled the video in post to see if it looked different; it looked smoother when I up-sampled the video from 720 to 1080. I could be lying to myself though; I have no proof up-sampling made the quality better, it just looked smoother on all the computers I tested it on.

what about the battery-life while taking video footage? does it drain out too quick?

@eladbari I like the camera a lot. For what it is, it does a great job. The video quality is the best for the price and is imo, has a clearer video than other HD camera's $100 to $150 more than this camera. The battery life is pretty good. I filmed a big shoot in downtown Denver the other day and I filmed 60 minutes worth and about 50 to 60 minutes in standby mode. I went through one full battery and about 20% of the second battery. That’s not bad at all. Always buy an extra battery.

sounds really cool! yeah, the HD video looks swell, and the most important to me- this camera is quite pocketable comparing to others=meaning, u wont get lazy to take it with u anywhere. im just still looking for still picture samples from this camera. didnt find a lot on the web. especially the wide aspect ratio mode [16:9] and not [4:3]. if u have any idea bout it, and u can direct me\send me a link in PM, that will be Great :] thank you!

Overall the picture quality is great. 14MP picture quality is super clear. I had a lot of issues using the camera for a night photo shoot. After I tweaked the nighttime settings and ISO settings it still produced terrible photos. If you stay away from most night photo shooting the photo quality is in the top range of point-and-shoot cameras.
