Ha love the classic "planet of the apes" moment at the end, just randomly thrown in there for a laugh. This game for me is still the best NFS game, got a great replay mode too , what the fuck ever happened to user controlled replays anyway most games nowadays reel off the race with fuck all camera control or even the ability to rewind in some cases. Bring back stuff like "destruction derby & Driver" film director modes they were the best.

i had a 3do console and i had the creative labs 3do isa card for my pc as the graphics were much better on the pc monitor but i think 3do should have done better with the risc chips it had

Were you able to play this game with a steering wheel back in 1994. I remenber to play this with a gamepad at my cousin's house i didnt even had a PC, graphics were incredible. I was only 5. Oh and if you know what was the first steering wheel for PC ever, tell me i've been searching this but couldn't find anything.

The statue of liberty at the end is indeed a homage to planet of the apes. Well played man, that's a difficult track. The Lamborghini never stood a chance. That thing's only good on City-1 and maybe, just maybe, Alpine-1. Give it a straight stretch of road and it's like a beam of light, add tight turns into the equation and it's essentially a brick on wheels.

It may look blocky now, but back in '94, it was astonishing.

Definitely my favourite NFS title I've played. It felt more real.

A remake would be welcomed, or simply a return to the style of NFS 3DO.

i just got my 1st own 3DO with over 50 games (incl NFS :D) and 70% of the time i played NFS xD i love it!!! :P i think i gonna go back to play it xD

btw how do you play the 3rd segment of each track? :o what do i have to do? cuz this butt only lets me drive 2 segments... :D and also there are only 3 tracks, pc version had 6...

I haven't played the game for over 10 years, so I can't remember about the 3rd segment, but I'm sure that I never had any problems with the game. I have vague memories of each track having 3 segments, but I honestly can't recall exactly how it worked.

I'll have to get my 3DO out of storage and play NFS again. I've also been itching to play Road Rash 3DO again. Now.. that's also an awesome experience.

@CHASER247 ok, i figured it out, u gotta run a good in time attack mode :) then you can race on all 3 segments in head to head mode :)

cool game, i still like it much better than today's NFS series... :P

btw road rash is also a good game, i used to play it on PC anni :D i've got over 50 games for my 3DO and i haven't got road rash xD shame... :-/

btw. i don't really argue about there are 3 tracks missing from the PC version, cuz i only play those 3, which are featured in the 3DO version :D

It is a cool game, and I'd love a modern remake. Just take the same game, but higher resolution graphics and 60fps. That would be a dream come true. I wish publishers would do remakes, like you get old films on blu-ray in better quality.

I've never played the PC version, but I think it came out later, and that's why it had more content.

There is a new NFS coming out this winter, made by the same team who makes the Burnout games, so it should be great. I hope so.

This game was great, Since then Electronic Arts' Need for Speed has no realism. The are goin' for arcade style for Fast n' Forious freak fans.

I loved this game, the realism was fresh to me when this game came out and the graphics were nice. This is the game that started a franchise that lives on with the 360/Wii/PS3.

This game rocked seriously. You should of did that cheat and disabled the hud. That speeds up the framerate.
