Every time i hear the last verse about the old man in the hospital i start to cry really hard. My grandfather died from lung caner among other problems. He came to visit and was driving home with my great aunts when he had a heart attack. I remember the last thing he said to me was "Be extraordinary, i love you so much" He died on Christmas eve in 2006, i miss him so much. R.I.P Grampy<3 i will ALWAYS love you<2

This song makes me cry at the end when she talkes about the old man. I had to live in a house that my grandma took care of, and she raised us ( Me and my sister) while my mom was in a different city instaying hotel working as a waitress. When I hear the part about the old man, it makes me sad and it makes me think about how my grandma is like my mom, and how sad I'll be when she's gone. I know her more than my mom. She knows everything about me, and I dont want to think she's goning to go soon.

On her last week she wrote her friends a farewell letter and on mine she wrote the chorus of this song. And I knew what she meant. I have had a simuler situation, my daughter was struggling with 4 children, while her father was in bed dying with cancer at the age of 49 and passed awayin just 9 days after being diagnosed. My daughter has since been incarcerated and I am currently raising her 4 beautiful children, 1yr. old male, 2yr old male, 4yr. old female,8yr old female, and I will be doing this for approx.another 2 years, but wouldn't do it any other way!
