@SgtGarand ok buddy i have a question. i am trying to mod my xbox 360 wireless controller guide button, so the guide botton X lights up. i open the controller, and i found a negative and a positive connection in the controller, they are the 4 solder points, just below the resistor thing at the controller, to the left of the right joystick. i put the LED on it and it does light up, it keeps lighting up even when the controller is off. do you know why? or where did you solder your LEDS? pleasehelp

@supersanchez1991 You need a transistor connected between the led and the circuit board that will make your led turn off when your controller is turned off. You need to make sure you get the right or it will not work. So be careful about what your doing. You should just have somebody do it for you. I would suggest you go to radio shack and ask an employee for help. Hope this helps.

@mauserhunter There are two versions of the pcb each version is wired differently, go on google and type in xcm wireless controller with leds should give you a link with full pictures etc

the newer versions have the battery clip thingy chromed too, and they've added more layers of the chrome plating to increase durability. i just ordered one like this, it's got the blue bumpers but i'm gonna use my originals because i've painted them and they're really nice. i'm gonna put the transparent axby buttons though.

Alright so this video was pretty damn helpful BUT it has a snag idk what was up with his controller lol it works here but on the newer model controllers the white wire needs to go on TOP of the 3 nodes or whatever he shows you and the black on BOTTOM so if you have a newer controller and put this case on it just be warned lo

amazon has them pretty cheap. get the t8/t9 SECURITY torx, it will make you life a lot easier

I've made tons of these controllers. I would recommend from the start to remove the wires which connect the power and installing a much better copper insulated wire. It's also easier this way because you can make the wires longer allowing you to connect the controller a bit easier. You do need an intermediate degree of soldering to accomplish this. If not you'll probably just mess it up.
