Sinus Rinsing --Side 1...UGH!! SOOOOOO GROSS!

What is gross about it? It just looks like clear water. No greeners or bogeys there! I just used as regular bottle that came with a long pointed nozzle (a well rinsed supermarket hair dye bottle) which I cut close to the base - it has the same rounded, short nozzle now as the one that comes with the expensive kit. Only trouble it is gives me the mother of all headaches when I do it, like it is hitting some sort of obstruction up there. Doc tomorrow.

The idea of squirting water up my nose and having it come out the other side was just disgusting at the time. Now it's old hat. I hope you get over your headaches and the doctor can help. I read that adding 1/2 dropper full of oregano juice kills the mycotoxins in the nasal cavity. Oregano is anti-fungal. You can also use grapefruit seed extract nasal spray from the health food store.

You're shooting the water up there with way too much pressure! It should only flow, not shoot. Go slow and easy, plus lean over and look down into the sink instead of keeping your head so upright. Man, no wonder you hate it.

It's not that gross. If you think it's weird you probably don't suffer from horrible sinus infections-- most people (myself included) think nasal rinsing is godsend because of the relief it brings. When the pressure lifts it's the best feeling ever.

Oh, but I do get terrible sinus infections and have sinus pain. That's why I got the sinus rinse kit in the first place. And, when I first got it and made this video 2 years ago it did seem gross at the time. Now it's no big deal... But thanks for stopping by.

boinnning, have you seen perhaps dr tulio simochinni's findings? he get's rid of the fungus with plain soda bicarbonata/destilated water solution..no need to mention he is discredited from his med. practice for his findings, but apparently, it works with cancer-wich is, according to him, layers of fungus:)) anyhow, perhaps U should try to rinse your sinuses with same solution(easy to make, same sh!t of feeling to apply) U have nothing to loose except, maybe fungus forever? ;) ...I'm curious ;))

It's warm water with a saline (salt) solution. It really doesn't feel all that bad once you get used to it. At first it is really weird, but after a few days, it's no big deal. Just make sure the water is NOT TOO HOT and NOT COLD and the saline solution is REALLY important. Plain water does hurt.

The Neti pot has been used for thousands of years without incident, like cannabis (Run From The Cure) . If it was uncomfortable AT ALL you got the salt mix wrong, also, get a real neti pot, not the big pharma water squirter you have now. Leave it to the 'medical' community to mess up something simple. Kids can do it for Gods' sake.

Hey Rocky... You're DOING IT WRONG.

Put your tilted head DOWN INTO the sink, and THEN begin the water flow. You haven't leaned far enough, that's why what you're doing is ineffective. If you are positioned correctly, you will feel the WARM WATER meander around the sinus cavity while the water drips out the lower nose hole. The warm water VAPOR helps to loosen up the snot wayy up there. Alternate nose holes, tilt left, then right, blow into the stink. Rinse sink, repeat a few more times.

Way wrong technique and tools. Use a neti pot and let gravity gently irrigate the nasal cavity. Using a squeeze bottle for pressure infusion is analogous to using a fire hose to rinse out a tea cup.
