A lot of CrossFit work outs are GPP so it would make sense to see them in all sports. For people that think it doesn't work try it! Just try going to the main site and do exactly what comes up for 1 week. So many people think that CrossFit can be summarized by one workout but it cannot. Range of motion is the only issue I see with this video.
its all about what kind of work out you want to go for..... u can stay lean forever or put on mass.. whatever works for you... if you wanna get big your gonna hit harder and yet most definitely lose speed and flexibility... most would agree being to muscular can be debilitating
crunches? really? you know you guys could do with a better strength and conditioning workout right? so is crossfit all about burning you up, and building lactic acid? and what the hell kind of burpee is that?
The workout can be tough as hell, but its not really that effective.
People are stupid. This is great conditioning and really helps you lose weight and build endurance fast and effectively. Do this everyday in my MMA class.
Also the jumps help explosiveness. Squats build a good base. Constantly moving builds cardio. Moving around from sprawl to squat builds adaptation making it easier to transition. Crunches build core strength, think of your core as the swivel for turning into punches and kicks. Also a strong core makes it harder to move you and easier for you to move them.
The thing people dont get about MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is that its (mixed). So of coarse there will be a little of everything. The only thing that MMA does not include is the art of a wepon other than your hands. Its a braud spectrum guys.
Yes all of those are true as well. Its almost like saying im running for football not for the track team... both involve the same kind of conditioning, and as long as you can get your heart moving and pushing yourself its an excellent drill. And you mentioned boxing as well.... well what do you think is included in MMA?
@surfawave04 I beat the shit out of 230lbs football players day in and day out, they come in acting tough get owned by me at 180lbs and never come back! Stay on the field with your pads. I don't play football because it only takes one ball and combat sports takes two!
none of this helps for mma? none of the motions help lmao this is just conditioning like what u c on a football team. get a medicine ball and work mma positions and motions get a sludge hammer and hit a tire so much harder than this.
yes this is true.... however it helps with quickness as well as conditioning. that is the key point. If you arent in condition half the fight is lost. And quickness helps a lot. Watch part 2 for conditioning as well as MMA techniques
yea seriously, none of these people commenting must have ever trained at a reall mma gym. they make us do a lot of the same stuff that i had to do in wrestling to get in shape.
