  • your wearing a hat

  • it's DuDu (next chord) etc, not just Du, Thom actually plays it uD uD but either works

  • How did your fingers grow so long ?

  • 240p... we meet again

  • If you give guitar lessons maybe I can teach Quantistic Phisics

  • @maxymyx83 You mean Quantum Physics?

    I don't think so, lol.

  • dude great video. i used to be able to play it with no problems and then i quit for2 years and forgot everything.. This jogged my memomry thanks/\.

  • hey_î_fèËl_sò_lönelý_tôÐÁY

  • you really helped me thank you!!

  • After watching this several times, I realized a very important point, on ur quite a few of ur chords u don't strum the very last Du... listen carefully and u'll see what i mean.

I believe u play it like this:

Du (Switch chord) D D Du uD Du

Du (Switch chord) D D Du uD DuDu

Du (Switch chord) X D Du uD DuDu

Du (Switch chord) X D Du uD Du

  • you are an amazing teacher! i found this really helpful.

  • Grossooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The jump shouldn't be that hard, it's not an F sharp but an E

  • Nice, see my band live cover in my channel (:

  • this is the first lesson on yt that i actually found useful :D u have an amazing way of teaching! thanks so much!

  • but it's wrong.

  • @buhmeh That's true

  • but that doesn't sound like the original...

  • Thanks buddy. Very helpful.

  • AMAZING

im trying to learn i just can't figure out the muting the strings bit.

but you are definately THE best teacher on youtube

  • EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION

first chord: index finger on 4th fret of high E. pinky finger on the 6th fret of G string. ring finger right above it on 6th fret of D string.

throw some extra correctly placed strums in there. follow the pattern down to the open nut. that means playing an "Asus2" and the last chord is a simple E.

you NEED that G# in the E chord !

get 2 guitarists... one playing this vid's way and the other playing my way and you have yourself thom and jonny.

    have fun!

  • Great lesson thanks

  • Thankyou so much!! These are great lessons. Please teach street spirit next!

  • this guy's pretty cool :) thanks dude for showing me how to play! i love this song

  • Pic Quality 7/10 ...teaching part 9/10 ..thanks

  • Well done, really well explained. Going to have this cracked in no time now thanks to your very good teaching! Thank you!

  • Thanks Dude.

  • Bro, you're awesome.

  • hey thanks heaps, awesome lesson

  • THANKS SO MUCH :D <3

  • Dude do you do any other lessons ? Seriously awesome teaching man. Thank you so very much mate.

  • Great teaching man !! Nice job

  • wow ur helpful!!

  • been wondering how to play this for a while, all the muted strings were making it hard work, but this is great, thanks :-)

  • great man!

  • if you dont wanna hear him talk to watch his frreaking videos. This is to help begginners learn new songs and its pretty informational. If you have your own problems deal with it on your own, dont dish it out on random people you jerk

  • im sorry, I just learned that my boyfriend was logged onto my screen name when he made this comment. He is a jerk, believe me.

  • good lesson, serves its purpose.

  • too much talking blah blah blah saying nothing

  • good job man!

  • you talk way too much. you could've shortened that to about a minute and still would have gotten the same message out

  • after watching this video about 10 times due my lack of intelligence ive mastered it thanks alot dude (lose the back to front cap it discredits your guitar playing)

  • you should play the high chord on the 11 another strum, when u listen to the song he does

  • I agree with "illectrikSkope". U should play 4 strums on the high chord before the sliding strum to the next down chord. But its a great job u've got there. Try to do the same for the song "Thinking about you". People will like it.

  • Emphasize the root notes F# - A - E while maintaining consistent ringing with the open B and E strings. It will sound way more thicker and more like the tune. Cheers!

  • Wicked, i love that song ty.

  • U need to play it first THEN explain it. U just went through 5 min of explanation before u ever let us hear what your version sounds like (which wasn't great).

Wasted 5 min of my life.

  • lol!

  • ya.. i kinda agree.. but without the wasting 5 mins of my life part.. it's cool cuz i just would have wasted it on some other vid! haha ;) but thanks tho!

  • thanks man, excellent lesson

  • Dude you're awesome. Thanks for this stuff.

You should post some more tutorials on cool stuff, you'll get a ton more leechers. Lol

  • wow, you are an excellent teacher!

    please, more vids!

  • 100th rating ;)

  • Great job man......its ok to mute the fourth but u have to leave open the second and first string and make them sound along with the fifth and third....try it and tell me what u think about it.....cheers

  • than k u so much, u make it so simple, u teach very well

  • thankyou very very very much...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think you are wrong. It goes U D U D U for the first chord, and then D D (pause) U D U D for the second one.

  • thnks 4 the video,it was really helpful.after 3-4 days prac im doin fine.keep up the good work

  • Thanks man, this is great. Keep it up!

  • yea thanks a lot dude!

  • keep it up man , im not really listening but you sound like you know what youre doing ..teaching wise

  • I know I'm not the first, or last to say this... but you are the best teacher! Gives me the sense that you are right next to me with your guitar, forget I'm even watching a video! Keep up the great work!

  • ...and finally, I finish the song! x) Thanks a lot!!! I'm gonna see your videos

  • great job

  • I'm actually picking this up after watching a couple more times, im practicing on my unplugged electric guitar though.

I'm better at learning this way than learning all the chords and thier names, because i forget them!

  • Hey thanks man you're a great teacher, i think it will still be hard for me because i'm learning and finding it all pretty hard... especially all these notes and chords...

but anyway thanks, and keep it up!

Can you do some more Radiohead?

    Please :)

  • "alright, heeeeeeeeeeeey"

  • best teach on utube!

  • @analspyder Mart Schwartz is the best teacher in youtube, check him out! :)

  • thanks for the lesson, very easy to play!

  • THANKS DUDE!!!

  • i dont get the middle finger, how can you mute the top e string without touching the a and g string?

  • uh your thumb

  • Great vid, thanks a lot

  • he talk too much but hes a really good teacher

  • Dude! you are a great teacher!

  • @aussieinlondon01 I completely agree.

  • great lesson really easy to follow

  • This is a good lesson, but I think Thom strummed a bit longer on the Ab chord.

  • Hi brilliant lesson mate! I like the fact you talk alot it's better to explain it fully than rip in to it. At the end of the intro i prefer to go to an E shape and hammer the pinkie on the 2nd fret under your first finger.

  • cheers mate great lesson. i know nothing about guitar and picked it up quite easy! thanks again from liverpool, england!

  • I love the intro to this song, great lesson, well broken down and explained. It looks like you're giving me the middle finger when you take your finger off the e string at 5:10 lol :-)

  • thanks for all your help without you i probably woudn't have learned to even play the guitar. (for example) last week i couldn't play any notes or anything and after i watched just one of your lessons(don't panic)i was playin like mad thanks man!!! you ROCK KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

  • dang

that like the BEST lesson ever

    your quite solid on everything

but kinda shakey when you actually played

    it

nonetheless im glad i found you!

  • surely playing the intro down the bottom is easier (and sounds better...)!

  • Absolutely fantastic lessons, man. This is in addition to the other video have helped me get this song down pat, and I couldn't get this rhythm of the intro down for the life of me!

Excellent teaching, and thanks to you I can now play one of my favorite Radiohead songs.

    Cheers!

  • You are an EXCELLENT teacher! You do a great job of explaining every little detail. I think many instructors have been playing so long that they forget to explain the things that begginers or intermediate players have trouble with. Thank you for emphasizing the strumming patterns, I have more trouble with those than anything else, and many videos don't even mention the pattern. I also like the fact that you point out the most difficult part of the song and let us know what to practice most.

  • Thank you SO much!

  • hahaha, you sond like larry burns in the beginning :'D

    heeey, you're aaaalriight!

  • Thank you! Learned a lot from you

  • thx this video helped me a lot

  • thanks from ireland !

  • Pleasant and easy to follow you. Thanks. Nice. Am now gonna practise!

  • Great video, thanks!!!

  • like i said for the first video great vid im learning the intro at the moment but u r a g8 instructor

  • thanks from france dude !

  • thanks for this video! very helpful

  • thanx, you really helped me out

  • matey...ur skillful ...its just superb..i love the way u play this song...so kind of you helping us lot(beginners)..thx a lot...just wondering ,did you actually mute the 6th string when you do the intro or play that string as well but in the end let go n play the open E?

  • im pretty sure hes muting it throughout...pretttty sure

  • gracias pero ni que fuera una teoria nuclear me aburriste, un abrazo pesadito!!!

  • you are cool mkerrissey

  • great job dude! you hlped a great deal.

  • Thank you for making this so basic...that I can actually get it! (I'm working on the intro too!)

    You're a great instructor!

  • You are the best !

  • Thank so much for your teach man your are great and your guitar have a nice sound

  • thank you soo much for this, your instructions are so easy to follow, and your timing and repetition is perfect. i find it hard to either keep up, or find it too slow with other instructors, THANK YOU!!!x
