Love Rajaton so much . . . they were just in London for the Kaleid festival and it was a DREAM COME TRUE for me, I've listened to them since I was eight.
Thats awesome, they were at my school too (Western Univ.). Our choir sang with them, and they had a few masterclasses with us. It was an amazing experience, enjoy!
My choir is doing a workshop with them when they are here in Eastern Canada for a national choral competition in May 2008. I decided to youtube them and now I'm really looking forward to it.
Hi! I'm in the Halifax Camerata Singers - we're an adult chamber choir and I'm the baby of the group haha
I'm pretty excited, we were just selected as one of the three finalists in the CBC National Choral competition (chamber choir category). There's a live-to-air broadcast on CBC in April, and if we win that, then we're supposed to go to CBC and perform live - but that's the same weekend as Podium. We wouldn't be able to go even if we do win - but it's a great thing for my conductor.
It's called Podium, and it's a biannual competition. It moves around the country; in 2006 it was in Powell River, BC, and this year its in Sackville, NB.

No; if you watch mouth movements and attempt to assign each singer a specific sound you're hearing, you'll soon realize that there's more sounds than mouths. Which really IS too bad. But oh well, they still sound way better than just about anyone else out there. =)
there aren't more sounds than voices here...there's playback for sure, but you're hearing six voices only. these guys don't need any extra voices, they are too good for it.
I think its just amazing production ure hearin there mate. I think its subtle delays + reverb that make the sound fuller and it crops up hear and there once n a while. But its still effects useed on the the voices u hear LIVE :)
I LOVE these guys. They've really been improving tremendously -- their sound, their style, their image. I like them better with every album. May they continue to increase!
I love them so much every time hear them I get chills. They are the best Acappella group I have ever heard, possibly the best musical group from any genre. Thank you for posting this. It made me so happy to see and hear them again.
Wish they would have been gigging in Helsinki when I was there. What a rush that last chorus gave me. Superb.

@moltomoltomoltobene Yes this is Finnish - but I guess they could make just any language sound great ;)

@moltomoltomoltobene They have a version of this song in English, too, and it's pretty awesome as well. :) It's called Vanishing Act.

Tuli jotenkin mieleen bändi Imogen Heap tästä .. Imogen Heap on aivan mieletön , ainakin jonkinlaisia vaikutteitta tähän bändiin

It was so, so awesome. They did THREE encores. We wouldn't let them leave the stage.
Best concert of my life, no joke! :)

They are great, been in their Christmas concert once. My personal favourite is the tall skinny guy Jussi Chydenius, great voice.
And yes, there are just six voices, nothing more.

This is a good performance. It would be 10 times more impressive were all the sounds heard produced live.
