Final Fantasy 5,6,7,8,9,10 Battle Medley

I like the progression of the Final Fantasy games. I don't know if its necessarily true, but I believe that each new game is a bit more mature than the last. Its like they grow up just like I do. I mean, just imagine playing Final Fantasy 13 at the age of 10. When I was 10 I played Final Fantasy 9 which was perfectly timed, and Final Fantasy 13 really fits my age (18) now.

But Final Fantasy 4 is an exception. I think FF9 should have been FF4.

well the story of FF 12 is very good. But the charakters a so stupid and Vaan looks like a fag..

I want to play with real people not with childs..

@TheMegaActivator I mean, main characters are usually those whose struggle is primary in the main plotline. Vaan, to me, was likely meant to be more of a symbol than an actual character. Really, he simply embodies the will of the people. I will say that he could have been better done, but whaddya gonna do? With that, I think Basch and Ashe are the main characters of the story. Basch has his foil of Gabranth and Ashe has her foil of Vayne that they both must overcome for the good of all.

and talking about symbols - Squall is a symbol to in addition with coolness ;)

@TheMegaActivator Later on in the game it begins to focus mainly on Basch, Ashe, and Balthier, and Vaan takes the back seat for the most part. In a way, it followed To Kill a Mockingbird's style of having a main character be one that is synonymous with how much the character knows of the story at the time. If we introduced the game with Balthier, Basch, or Ashe, the story would have fallen apart since most of the major elements would already be made known to the player.

@TheMegaActivator I am sorry, but I don't understand how Cloud and Squall are grown up people. They are insecure Teenagers. If you want to follow grown-up characters, I would suggest Final Fantasy 4 or 6, and while 5 was lighthearted, they were pretty mature in my opinion. Not saying that Cloud and Squall are bad or anything, but I would not really put them that far apart from the characters in 12

i have so many complaints about FF12 that it's not even funny, somehow i think that 12 was worse than 8! the problem with 12 was the absolutely terrible boss music, the stupid espers, and the license board. It spit upon FF12...

I remember when playing ff7 when I was little, never got far since it werent my copy. I asked for it for xmas but my dad got me 8 instead. I was proper weirded out by the game cause It looked more western. Still love ff8 though probaly my favourite when it comes to storyline.

@Slashisawsum 6 is more bouncy and whimsical, it has that feel even moreso in dissidia. Perfect for the game, especially since the flagship villain of 6 is a clown.
