jr. by now you would have known that the fight is not going to happen. pacman sued floyd and golden boy over the statements made by floyds camp and golden boy promotions that thepacman is using roids. case was filed in nevada. scheduled fight is march 13 and election in philippines is may.if it is not happening in march, then it is not going to happen coz the pacman will most likely win a seat in congress and then he has to serve that term. if it does happen maybe late september this year.

Im not sure why I need to point this out to you but when Pac knockdown JMM 4x it was in JMM weight class. For Mayweather not to be able to knockdown a boxer moving up about 3 weight division and had not fought over 135, you have to question his punching power if it even exist.

ok sooo wat mayweather came down from 147 it wa a catch weight he only weighed 2 lbs more. Floyd knocked down/out diego coralles 5 times and weighed 10lbs less he moved up in weight to fight both of them, why not evaluate him on that in terms of power. They were at a catch weight like 142 thats not welter its like super light or junior welter...so wat he didnt KO him he couldnt be touched. You cant say that for Pacman when he fought JMM

What are u talking about 2lbs?! the official weight in is 147 but right before the fight Floyd was well above that - that is why Floyd was appoligizin for doing that. catch weight 142? where you even paying attention during the fight Cotto was 147+ and Manny is at 145+. They weight the fighters right before the fight too other than the official weight the day before.
Floyd best performance was years..years..ago with David Coralles..Now his just playing it safe.

One last thing, as far as i'm concerned Mayweather is terrified of Sugar Shane Mosley, and he should be. If Mayweather (a huge if) were to get in the ring with Sugar Shane he will be knocked out within 6 rounds even if he runs. Mayweather cannot compete with Shane (a tremendous puncher with either hand and great speed). Pacquiao would probably suffer the same fate. Counterpuncing will not save Mayweather for much longer. If Pacquiao & Mayweather fight i can only say one thing, Pacquiao will have the advantage because no one is used to fighting against a Southpaw with the speed, power, and ability to take a punch like Pacquiao (who has gotten way better with age). The advantage must go to Pacquiao in this regard, but, Mayweather is also a great counterpuncher (with great speed) and so this advantage could be offset (possibly). My prediction is a great fight with only one real question, who will be the aggressor?

they're both good fighters in there own style. pacquiao is more about offense and mayweather is more about defense. and action is always faster than reaction. so mayweahther is gonna have to lower his gaurd just a bit to throw punches just as fast or maybe even faster than pacquiao. but having said that, pacquiao will have more openings to punch as well and we all know he's not afraid of throwing punches and exposing himself because we know he can take punches, proven by the fight with cotto.

There's only one word why this fight is going to happen and that word is MONEY. Too much money involved for this fight not to happen. If Floyd passes up this fight, then he's a coward. It wouldn't make sense for Floyd not to fight Manny. After all, they call him Floyd "MONEY" Mayweather LOL.

i dont think it will happen... Mayweather keeps on saying if the money is 50/50, he wont fight cuz he still thinks hes the moneymaker.
but seriously... Pacquiao made boxing history and Pacquiao/Cotto made way more than Mayweather/Marquez.
If it ever becomes 65/35. 65 should go to pacquiao... who the hell does Mayweather think he is?? Pacquiao is now a boxing legend.

as a pacman fan i think pbf vs pac should happen. but if i have to choose whos got the advantage between the two i say mayweather just because of his defence and he is unbeaten yet, but pbf has never saw a fighter like pacman who can throw a power punch from all angles with both hands, and a foot/hand speed like no other prolly the fastest i saw from this decade, so its still kinda toss coin for both. i think the fight will happen they just want to make more noise.yankee stadium in summer 2010:)

because of his defense? wel i agreed if his opponents are ORTHODOX.. look at mayweather style of defense.. at manny, will absorb manny punch, prone or exposed because most of the time, BPF style is to cover with his left shoulder when it comes to defense..so, he wil adjust and shift another style of defense because manny is a southpaw.
unbeaten because he fought average and smaller fighter nlt as talented as pacman, a real warrior..try to review his past opponents..

yeah but pac had problems with counterpunchers, you may say pacquio that faced marquez was not as good as good as the pacman today but floyd is way better than marquez.. pbf fought average fighters? are you kidding me? mayweather may have ducked mosley margarito cotto williams.. but theres no way pacmans opponent were better than floyds past opponent.. pac drastically improved in the last 2 years.

1 last thing. FM can catch Pac comming in & hurt him. FM hadn't faced a man that is faster than him or as fast. Not scarred & will make him fight. Pac will make him fight. The flurries by both men will be unreal. A blase of fast. He won't be able to shoulder roll Pac as Pac is everywhere but Pac can't get careless of FM will knock him out. Do i think Pac could ko FM? Yes, but Sugar Ray style, speed shots as where FM could possibly get him with 1 shot. It will be a great fight.

is in FM court. He is so talented, no telling who all FM could beat. I give him a slight edge over Pac because of his defense. It is just to close to call that fight & yes i can see how Pac can beat him. FM is now backed in a corner by actions & talk won't get him out. If he don't fight Pac or Shane or someone close to him or has a chance, he is going to be judged. That is bad because he is so talented. Saying Shane cheats and he don't like Arum won't cut it. I think he will fight Pac or retire.

Go on here and watch the post fight. Arum talks of FM people calling and saying they was interested. It was also jabs that it ouldn't be any 65% money for FM and 35% for Pac. They laughed that off. Floyd gonna be dodging for a while but will eventually will make a fight date.......in Mayweathers favor. Who will win??? I don't know.....really no clue. He said today "Pacquiao is an easy win and that he has no versatility"; That is just talk but he'll train like never before. And floyd will watch Pac's past vids for strategy too; though he says he doesn't.

may hasn't really fought anybody worth fighting. he beat a washed up gatti, a nobody baldamir, hatton... can you name anyone he's beaten, delahoya the most overrated boxer of all time who never won against anyone worth fighting {lost to trinidad, bernard hopkins, twice to shane mosley}, and judda who has bout 10 L's.
