  • another side project of maynard:)

  • Clearly influenced by Justin Bieber.

  • @berryhill88 i'm a huge tool fan myself, i just get sick of all the idiots who can't see the difference between influence and imitation.

  • I saw these guys live a couple years ago, they opened for my guitar teachers band. I had never heard of them, but when they played there first song I loved it right away. I always thought they sounded more like A Perfect Circle rather than Tool, but they'reMaynards bands so yeah

  • There obviously is a very big Tool influence in there but who really gives a fuck as long as it's good?

  • I call this, inspired by Tool, NOT ripped off. Period.

  • I think it sounds like Rishloo

  • Why are Tool fans so closed-minded? If Tool has taught us anything, it's to open your mind, to look at things beyond what they seem. So why do you listen to this song and immediately say "Tool wannabes"? You should be glad that Tool is influencing a new generation of musicians, that they took a genre of music and made it their own. Someday the world will be without Maynard, Adam, Danny, and Justin, and on that day, we'll all be listening to this.

  • @buttonmastah

couldnt of said it better myself!!!!! bravo!

  • @buttonmastah Thanks for stereotyping ever fan like that...

We're not all shitheads. I agree, many Tool fans are, and they're generally the loudest ones as well.

  • This doesn't sound all that much like Tool.

  • AngelDefecation: How are you??

  • thumbs up if your a real tool fan and you know this does not sound like TOOL

  • LAGWBAT: Living as Ghosts With Buildings as Teeth.

    Their 4th album!

  • who cares if it sounds like tool Maynard refuses to make any new fucking albums for tool so you know what fucking hope rishloo goes way up because I need music like this and so does this piece of shit generation of music we live in with bieber and fucking hip hop rap and the other trash bullshit trying to make money of dumb ass wigger kids.

  • @samsonpker New tool album in May 2012 FYI. If you think this generation has shit music then you need to start doing some research.

  • @stevesellers You guys are like some fucking Zombie cult dumbasses.

Tool isn't your usual band if they take their time it probably means that you wont be sorry when the album does come out.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for the next "The Wall" :)

  • oh, for the day when i can come enjoy a bands fantastic music and not have comments about OTHER bands spewing from the screen..

  • Seriously...I have not heard all Tool songs so I can not say you guys are wrong....but to me these remind me of Fair To Midland more than anyone else. I can't be the only one who knows Fair to Midland. Check them out, and you can thank me later (:

  • so many words. damn. and whats up with all the heavy breathing?

  • If your an actual Tool fan, you can tell that this bares no comparison to Maynard's voice whatsoever. Not even in the ball park.

  • Still an awesome piece though

  • this is indescribably incredible...

  • All music is a ripoff of other music. Just enjoy it.

  • sounds like tool, fucking awesome, i love tool and they dont put out enough music to satisfy my toolish needs...something to fill the empty void of ignorance that they try to force feed my ears and try to pass on as music...ROCK ON!!!!!!

  • I found this band while searching "Bands that are like Fair to Midland(also a great band)" . There is also no point in saying this sounds like Tool, now I like Tool, but there the same kind of music, so yeah they are going to sound the same.

  • we recently just saw these guys at a local show and was friggin awesome keep up the great work rishloo

  • Personally this sounds more like Karnivool than Tool. But I am noticing a trend... if you're going to be a cool progressive rock band you have to have two 'o's in the name of your band. Tool is my favorite band by far and I see no problem with a slight encroachment of styles. Enjoy the music people. Stuff even this good is rare.

  • Rishloo and Tool are in the same GENRE .. There just are barely any bands that are on that level so people say they are like tool, because there arent any other bands to compare them too

  • It's hilarious that now all someone needs to do to get compared to Tool is use a fucking delay effect.

  • Band today, Y U NO sound more like Tool ?

Y U have to go all heavy death metal ?

  • IF every band in the world was a copy of tool , then I would like every band

  • Most bands are inspired by other bands so I find it more of a tribute and I'm not sure why anyone would "hate" on another band that is trying to develop their own sound that may have been contracted by another established and widely known entity as Tool, APC and Pusifer. They have a unique sound and they are in their own element... Let it be...

  • Every lyric I have seen for this song has said "bittersweet the wicked..." but it doesn't sound like that at all nor does it make sense that way

  • hmm this doesn't sound toooo much like tool

  • Sounds pretty damn badass to me.

  • Indeed, Rishloo is something of a Tool clone. But, that being said, Tool has the elements of fucking and awesome. So why complain? There are obvious Tool aspects, but they still manage to keep something of their own sound. Quit Trolling and enjoy the bloody music.

  • Why can't our music in the states be ass badass as this? Music sucks here nowadays!!!! Sans Tool and a few others progressive artists.

Do me a solid and check out "Damn Ugly" by Avareous if you're looking for new music, those guys are wayyyyy underrated.

  • lol. már vagy 100szor meghallgattam itt, és csak most láttam, hogy te töltötted fel xDD <3 soldifasléééd :DDD

  • RIshlooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, you guys rule. That is all.

  • I am a huge Tool fan, but seriously i dont give a fuck about whether someone thinks this is ripoff or whether Rishloo, meshuggah or Tool is the best band, i just wan't to listen to this piece of art before it is extinct by modern shit music. so shut up.

  • @HushGod Well said.

  • i was told to check these guys out because they are similar to fair to midland. i think i now have two bands that i have to pay attention to. and yes, very similar to maynard.

  • holy fuck this guys are awesome

  • I almost want to say that that Is Maynard... I mean the similarity is pretty uncanny ... i just dont know lol

  • Never heard of these guys, but DAYUM it almost sounds like I'm listening to Maynard's brothers band :p

  • interesting and soothing..

  • Heil from Russia. Guys, i wanna see you in Moscow badly. One of the best bands atm - truly

  • Very very strong vocals. Good song but it feels like the ending would've been even better with distorted power chords carrying it even more.

  • i love finding bands like this. i should spend more time on youtube..

  • if cool bands like this are you thing

    check out

    LizZard The Orbiter (on youtube)

by the way..fuck..great music that is Rishloo!!

  • Tool could make a new album. I miss them.

  • Some parts of their songs are so epic and i get the same feeling that tool has given me. Yeah they are influenced by tool but if i can get that feeling thats what its about. To me they sound like a mix of tool, mars volta, and aphex twin. RISHLOO is awsome! Just get over your tool boners like i have and accept them because they are different and good in their own way.

  • Haters can say they're just an Emo-Tool. I'll say they're simply the greatest indie modern rock band today with the best singer on the planet. Terras Fames, Eidolon and Feathergun are all better than 10,000 Days.

  • it sounds exactly like Tool, I love it ! :)

  • I was a DIE-HARD Tool fan for almost fifteen years. Now...I AM RISHLOO!!! Best modern rock band, ever, in my humble opinion! And they don't sell their souls to corporate America.

  • Enough,we get it, Tool is influential. But this is a hell of a band here. And Eidolon holds it's own again Lateralus very well. How these guys are unsigned is ridiculous. Someone give Steven WIlson a mix tape.

  • Reminds me of a perfect circle

  • I tried a few songs from Rishloo, this one is definitely a stand out. The others are ok imo, but if im listening to this genre of music, my band of choice is Tool. This song is kick ass though!!

  • damn you can hear the influences from Tool big time. Still good though.

  • Tool > Rishloo but stil. Rishloo > Mainstream crap

  • if u listen to both tool and rishloo, u will hear that Tool's chord progressions are darker and phonically deeper also the tempo in general is usually slurred in their songs, whereas rishloo's music has a faster pace that moves rapidly through a variety of jumbled and extravagant riffs, Its these little differences that individualize both bands. dont be a hater of new music that strives to rise above other music that replicates itself for the masses, much in the same way tool has done so.

  • I think by a shear beam of fate I stumbled upon this band, I have go NO idea what the meaning, purpose, intentions, or even what this band sounds like, but something is telling me im going to like this. Very Very much.

  • equal parts tool and gwen stefani

  • Cock mongers. This music is the greatest thing to make me throw up in the last two minutes. It reminds me of my last encounter with alcohol poisoning, It's as though the ass mouths from Five Finger Dick Chonch decided they could do Tool better than Tool. I think some shit tacos would be a perfect way to round off this ear rape. Thanks. Please go die.

  • @rklebario Are you one of those die hard fans who think only Tool can do prog rock? Tool is a phenomenal band, but Rishloo is also great. Get your one sided musical tastes out of here.

  • @RedTeaV Thats not the issue, its that it feels like these guys borrow so heavy from tool.

  • @RedTeaV I don't die hard for Tool.this shit is a ripoff...maybe if they spent less time sounding like tool and maybe if their lyrics weren't poopy-caca they could be just ok,

  • Very similar to Tool... But still interesting...

  • I hate it when people compare bands, but you guys are right, I can't help but think of Maynard from Tool's voice when I hear this vocalist. Great band I'm definitely a fan.

  • this vocals are so similar to maynard.... incredible!

  • I LOVE THIS SHIT. It makes me have the tool feeling like ashes divide make me have an apc feeling.

  • After listening to tool for several years i thought i'd never find a band that would give me this feeling of finally finding myself. Not deep as Tool, but this is an excellent band.

  • @Valkery09 If you like Tool and Rishloo, you might want to give Karnivool a listen. Best rock act to come out of Australia in recent history.

  • @Fleshy91 and A Perfect Circle :)

  • @Fleshy91 So true! Karnivool are the best band to come out of Perth for a long long time.

  • @angieluvsthing Right on!!!!!

  • hèy_ì_fêÉl_só_lÕÑèlý_tØdàY

  • MADE IN SEATTLE!

  • You wana swallow Maynards jizzum, you poor fools.

  • Music brought me here

  • @PerfidyShadow we'll see them next time

  • thumbs up if you found this because because extraterrestrials beamed it into your head via biotechnological brain stem implants

  • @truckstophandjob actually last.fm

  • @sgtdrumsolo Haha, same.

  • @truckstophandjob no man... last.fm

  • @LeeRLang Last.fm IS an extraterrestrial biotechnological brain stem implant. =P

  • Love Rishloo I wish I could have gone to the san Diego show they had not to long ago =[

  • In my subjective list if best ever songs I put Eidolon Alpha next to Lateralus, even though I understand that they are different. Both song amaze me!

  • Actually /mu/ brought me here

  • this song has surpassed all of my expectations. simply wonderful. ty, rishloo

  • Found this via a misspelling. Apparently, everyone else took the lame way out.

  • found this with TuneGlue audiomap

  • I found this because of APC

  • haha i did found this because of tool on last.fm in my 360

  • 2:23 - Orgasm Button

  • Comment removed

  • the tention is so amazing at the start and at 2:40

  • Inspired by APC much?

  • very toolesque. impressed

  • Sounds like Tool's song disposition. Very cool sound.

  • All this talk about Tool. They aren't bad they are progressive after all. But to they have to be one of my least favorite progressive groups out there. Much prefer Vanden Plas, Pain of Salvation, Symphony X, Evergrey, Wolverine, Adagio, Opeth, Haken ect.

    But that's me.

  • This is nothing like Tool. Goddamn you lastfm.

  • @Jlo83live i lol'd, no but seriously it's very similar 2:22

  • these guys need a better drummer... That's what sets TOOL apart

  • @jorgealexandre99 Jesse Smith is actually an amazing drummer.

    It fits the music.

It may not be 'as good' as Danny Carey's style, but it's still very advanced drumming, with more subtlety.

Rishloo should not be held to the 'Tool Standard'.

They are in a class of their own.

  • @jorgealexandre99 hard to match Carey...the drummer they have is great but he needs to be louder. He's pretty subtle right now.

  • OMG this is awesome!!!! Beautiful!!!!!!!

  • If you like this you'll love KARNIVOOL from Australia. Very simmilar melodically and rythmically.

  • Is it me? or have these guys totally ripped their sound off of tool?? This sounds just exactly like tool.

  • @HaBenOni It sounds a lot like tool. But to be honest, i don't give a flying fuck, lol. The more Tool sounding music i can get the better. XD They almost sound like they have a little bit of system of a down in them (not so much in this song, but look at their other stuff like Weevil Bride)

  • @HaBenOni They sound nothing like Tool.

The emotions and feelings conveyed are on the same level, however.

  • why arent these guys very very very famous yet?

  • Rishloo is an awesome band. They are very gifted songwriters. However, they need to consider hiring an experienced engineer for their next album. This album and Feathergun sound like they were recorded in a garage. The drums are too far in the background, the vocals lack polish, and their is just muddyness going on in the middle. That being said, the fact that I still can't get enough is a testament to how awesome their music is. A little polish and it could be phenomenal.

  • First of all I don't know this band except a few songs... But I LOVE Tool, and I have to mention them because of the parallels between their music. And I wouldn't talk of Rishloo as "a poor endition of tool" but of great band with comparable music. I'm glad that I found a Band with similar style for at least two reasons: Tool's my favorite band, but they last (I think that's the reason of the great quality) very long for new stuff and now there are new brains and hansd making such god music. TOP

  • Its embarrassing and pathetic that everyone has to mention TOOL when they hear this band. STOP IT. talk about RISHLOO when your listening to RISHLOO.

  • Comment removed

  • This is garbage...They are a poor rendition of Tool...A dollar store copycat with the musical talent of a dive bar band.

  • @cfrailty Really dumbass their style isn't like tool. it's more like chevelle.

  • @arkham2498 Wow, you're joking right? First of all, who the fuck does Chevelle say is their number one musical influence in life thus far? TOOL...Secondly, Rishloo sounds nothing like Chevelle...I think the only people that would agree with you would be the deaf. Not only is the vocalist fucking terrible, it can't even be catergorized as Prog rock, because their music doesn't even transition into the phases well. Sorry to hurt your feelings, but jesus, you're a fucking idiot.

  • @cfrailty Oviously I was ignoring that they suck live for one. Also Rishloo doesn't use doublebass drum, or nearly as much pedals that tool uses. if your going only by the vocal than you're the dumbass.

  • Comment removed

  • @cfrailty You are a dumbass.

  • @cfrailty Tool fanboy.

  • @cfrailty Tool fanboy much?

  • @BeowulfCav No, I just hate cheesy rip offs. I mean, for fucks sake, it doesn't take a genius to realize that they are ripping off Tool. From the lyrics, the guitar...right down to lead singers voice. I hate bands that have no identity. They just copy a style and try to run with it. It's pathetic.

  • @cfrailty You are a fucking moron!!!!!!

  • @bugmusk6 This coming from a 32 year old man who added "Alejandro" by Lady Gaga to their favorites. FAIL.

  • @cfrailty dude, that video by gaga is fucking genius!

  • @cfrailty What's wrong with lady gaga? I hate when people that listen to Rishloo are so immature as to dis other music just because its mainstream... conformist.

  • @Jonnyboy356 thank you!!

  • @cfrailty Herp derp. Tool ripped off Meshuggah.

  • @cfrailty I love tool as much as the next guy but fanboys have no identity.

  • Gives me goose bumps every damn time. People can find so much truth and wisdom in lyrics involving actual thinking and idealistic statements.

  • Hey, just curious about the comparison...someone check out the stand alone band Koi for me and compare them to this. I think they are similar.

  • This sounds nothing like Tool...sorry. At least that is my opinion, and I know every one of Tool's songs...they are my fav. band after all. Love this band, but not Tool.

  • Rishloo at Studio 7 in Seattle in FEBRUARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rishloo is like Tool... but who said that's a bad thing?

  • 2:10 onward -- very impressive.

  • I see why people are saying they are like Tool, but they really aren't. Why do we have to compare everything to an older band? Plain and simple this album is amazing! Don't compare bands to Tool cause no band is better than Tool.

  • I've heard every Tool song front to back at least 20 times, seen them in concert 7 times, seen all of their music videos countless times, Own ALL their CD's and DVD's, have like 15 different things signed by the band members. Been backstage in Tool concerts a few times. Have A LOT of artwork (prints) by Alex Grey, and I can tell you right now. This band is absolutely NOTHING like Tool.

  • @ProEdit7x They are, in the fact that they're unique, and produce a real progressive sort of vibe. They're both extremely high caliber musicians, both in taste and execution.

  • @ProEdit7x YA, that is what I was trying to say.

  • Any band whose singer sings in minor scale, does dark progressive metal, and has a bass guitar on full tremble WILL be compared to the likes of Tool

  • It's like... a combination of Tool and early Queen. I jizzed.

  • 4:26 Maynard!!!

    Ignore my last comment.

These guys are crisp and clean. They have their own style from tool and is not a knockoff band

  • Comment removed

  • hardcore Tool fan here - I'm in love with this band.

Love to see bands being inspired by other artists and not just copying them. They took something from them and made something of their own.

  • i love it ohohabnmmmmf...srry mini orgasm.

  • FUCKING AMAAAZZZZIIINNNNNNGGG!!!!!!!!!!! been looking soooo looooooong for a song and a band similar to Tool but never ever ever thought id find a band so fuckin similar as this one!! FUCKIN HAPPY!! MY MUSICAL DISCOVERY OF THE FUCKIN YEAR!!!!

  • i blanked out while listening to this song.....the things i saw during that blackout are indescribable

  • I can digg it!

  • Uploaded in 2008, and still just 48K views in 2 years.

The most underrated song of the century.... should have been more dn a million at least to stat with....

Keep on making music... you will succeed one day.. some day soon....

  • I can digg it !

  • Rishtool

  • @Neurotripsicks - Gorod! Nice

  • like tool/ system of a down

  • who's gonna make the - "5 people clicked dislike by mistake instead of like"

  • @immaSpy1 I guess you just did bro. lol

  • Tool.. nuff said.

  • @Bastardoom i can hear it in them too

  • @Bastardoom

Lol the beginning could just be a Lateralus song.

This is the first time i listen to this band but i have to say i like it.

Although nothing can be as great as Tool.

  • I get to see these guys in 15 days. All be it I'm a huge Tool fan, I don't think they are like Tool at all..similar in the tone sure..but I like this guy more honestly..it's more grungey for me and extremely trained and I just love it. I can't wait to see them. Long live Seattle music for sure. I love living here.

  • such an awesome fucking song

  • iv listened to so much tool i can pick Maynard's voice out of anybody's, and i thought it was for the first few seconds but its alittle higher
