there is a mic for this... it took me weeks but i found it (or rather my friend did) and i think she did a search for it using PANASONIC 300 SERIES and then went from there. if you can't find it message me and i'll get the info... i just don't have it on hand at this second.
yeah, i baught this cam too, its soo awesome, i love it, i put a high def wide angle lense on it...wich rox soo much, and i have a 2x fish eye lense, wich i havnt actually tested yet, ohh and a bunch of filters to filter out all the uv lights and shit...only thing i dis like is not having and external mic plug-in...
There is solutions to that. I made in my past some home movies and we were recording with the internal camera mic so there was an annoying motor noise. To solve it, I found some softwares to reduce noise or you can take the filter included in your editing software. It works really great if you set it well.

I just bought one. It's a great camera, but the motor noise is very high. I am going to return it unless I find a solution.
