Just realized one detail-- this was actually week 15 (still the final regular season weekend) -- one weekend (what would have been the original week 4) was lost due, of course, to that strike the well-reputed replacements started the 1st of 3 games on what was originally weekend 5

I happened to be in LA for the holidays that year and family legend has it that my dad wanted to take a later flight home so that him and I could go to this game. Ended up not happening but I would love to see what I missed out on as it would've been my first game.

You know what's also interesting? The 1990 season was a disaster for the N.E. Patriots going 1-15. Their one win: at Indianapolis.

I think that the Saints would have won that game, and eventually would have played the Niners in the NFC Title Game because I think that they could have defeated Chicago, and the Niners would have taken care of Washington.
