Hmmmmm... It doesn't look half as good as the Porsche, in fact it looks like a womanly handbag, from the front it looks korean, headlights are even uglier than Mitsubishi Eclipse, even though it's lighter it handles worse, interior looks like stock BMW 1 series, and it's not mid engined. Not to mention the badge factor. I'd take the Porsche any day of the week.

@jefhart BZZZZZ wrong. 96 Escort Cosworth RS2000. Handles better than any BMW 3 or 1-series, permanent 4x4, Garrett turbo, quite rare, and guess what, quite cheap. And the BMW's grill looks pathetic, lights look like straight from a Mitsubishi Eclipse. It's an anti-thesis of a german looking car.

@soberek Lol, that was my first car. I learned to drive a stick on the test drive. It was even a '96. As someone that drove one for 3 1/2 years I can tell you that it does not compare. You are seriously putting a 15-year-old Ford compact up against a modern E85? I actually drive an E86 now but I can guarantee it will destroy your car on the track and in the looks department.

Z4 is the only car Bangle's influence got right. Would be interesting to see how this review would've been different with better tires than the stock Conti Extreme Contact DW's they llikely tested with. I just put some Dunlop Star Spec Z1's on mine, slightly wider, and the grip is an order of magnitude better. I think BMW compromised a little on the stock tires.

The Z4 was modelled at the front like a Shark. That's why they call it Land Shark. It's really menacing looking with style and curves. What can one expect when it's predecessor, the Z3, even had those shark like grills at the sides. The 2009 Z4 model looks even sharper and more stylish.

The 911's engine being behind the rear axle is actually a weakness, not a strength. I love Porsche and the 911 is brilliant, but it's not at all brilliant because of the engine placement or even the raw power. It's brilliant in spite of these things.

@TENNSUMITSUMA think we got mixed up here, so what i mean is that power steering(its also called servo streering) makes it easyer for you to turn your streering wheel, like with 1 finger, wich means that even at such corners and speed when u shouldnt be able to turn it so easy by hand cuz it will understear(front sliding) u can turn it without a problem with power steering. i wasnt talking about traction control (wich btw just slows you down if you go with insane speed into insane corners)
