  • hes all in the zone... thats just amazing!!

  • That high note a about 0:27 is what I am talking about??? how do i get that tone

  • how is the high notes on the bottom keyboard a different timbre/quality from the the low notes on the botom keyboard. I love how the high notes it sound. how do you get it to sound like that. I have an electric synth from Yamaha with a pipe organ (that sounds like a white church organ), how can i get this tone (that sounds like a black church organ) out of it?

  • Robert, I enjoyed this video. I remember jamming with you at Kingston Mines and Harry O's back in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Keep up the good work !!!....Tom Garippo

  • wow this is like really awesome

  • when i hear a real hammond sound all my body hairs stand up!

  • Art can be relly subtle when done well. Very nice and inspiring video. Kudos.

  • Great, just simply great!! The Hammond B3, in the hands of such a genius, rocks them all! How does he create that steady 4/4 beat? Sounds like a bass drum... Is he "slapping" the low C note on the bass pedals?

  • OW!! thats what im talkin about

  • It's not about to know how to play, it's about know how to feel the music!

  • @kolaneri this applys to all forms of blues yes. but some practice in the mind and body helps.

  • this is sexy

  • it's one thing to play it great, but it's even better to see the player enjoying it!

  • The Hammond B3 is the sweetest machine in the world. Played in the hands of this soulful master is pure pleasure. The recording quality is not as good as I'd hope for but it's still making its point.

  • Stevie Wonder - Master Blaster

  • hot jam sir!!!

  • LOL...Yes, he did & and he jammed it just right, didn't he? ;-)

  • Very sweet sounding B3! Pure creative keyboard talent at the King of instruments ... B3 rules! Thanks for posting this video.

  • My friend, jazz, blues, funk, and rock don't sound nice on "church" organs. Hammonds and Leslies are made for these genres...including gospel, which oftentimes integrates all the aforementioned genres. Please don't hate on the Hammonds, Doc!!! Just know that most of us don't attempt much classical music on them. There are other organs designed for the classical music sound, such as the "church" organs you've mentioned. BTW, Hammonds & Leslies can be found for REALLY good prices!!

  • @fstanley35 Hammonds became the sound of these genre's, but of course how the story goes, the Hammond organ was 'made' quite literally for the church. The irony of the whole deal still amazes me- the irony that the best sounding organ on a Leslie was invented 6 years before a Leslie existed. Let's add that Don Leslie was trying to make his Hammond get a theater organ tremulent (caused by oscillating pressure drops in the pipes) by employing a mechanical Doppler approach. • nice B3!!!

  • nice playing, nice unison scatting and nice B3!

  • Man this is how I feel. I wake up in the morning and just want to get lost in my music. I play guitar, bass and drums a little and have a Hammond, but not a B3. Nice jam!

  • I think they need to service that hammond

cause it was "SMOKIN" great playing i love it
