paypal and ebay are crooks. They make you take paypal to list, they force you to send an item with paypal holding your money for 21 days at the will of a buyer to screw you. Ebay charges somewhere around 8 percent. example, a$200 item I sell, typically cost me $15 of Ebay fees, SHIT! But thats NOT all! Paypal would charge me almost another $15 for their SHIT fees! And on top of all that, the stingy buyers who dont want to give me more than $200 for a set of almost new rims/tires that cost me $900 when I got them.

I've just closed my Ebay and Paypal accounts. I was a buyer on Ebay, I never sold anything, but it would seem that PP/ebay don't protect buyer or seller, from the posts above and my own experience. I resent the money they have made from the support of their customers, who beleive, as they advertised, that buying through eBay or PayPal actually affords any protection for anybody concerned, Except eBay and PayPal!
anyone can buy something from you on ebay if your a seller and then you can file for a refund and they dont even have to refund the correct item, Ebay will automatically take their side.
For any viewers unaware, ebay has announced a new policy where they are basically going to start stealing everyone's photos and allowing anyone to use them. You supposedly have the ability to opt out by a certain date. Users are reporting far & wide that they are automatically opted in though & some are not able to opt out due to page malfunction (not saving changes)
I urge anyone concerned to make noise and take action to keep this policy from being enacted. Very doubtful it can be legal IMO

Not sure how things are in th UK, but here in the USA PayPal is only supposed to be a "Money Transmitter", yet they are for all intents & purposes, acting as an Escrow Service. Apparently they are able to get away with that because it will take legal action or legislation to change that, & eb-PP have a way of silencing "noise" through various means. I want everyone affected to start writing their lawmakers, or simply close their accs.

IMO, the very best thing you can do is to close your accounts and try to persuade as many others to do likewise as possible. Try to make change occur through regulation from Gov't, lawsuits, etc.

Some of the links to the various alt auction sites are now changed and others are gone. The point though is well taken, eBay is not the only game in town. I have looked at all the alt sites and some look taylor made for my needs. Really appreciate the info and please continue to boycott ebay. I'm a 100% pos. seller with 122 ratings and I haven't touched them since October 08.

I sold an Ipod and they put a 21 day hold on the item. They give the buyer ample time to file a claim or due a chargeback. eBay doesn't care, Paypal doesn't care, what they care about is making sellers lives miserable by constantly screwing over good honest sellers. Selling fee hikes, new feedback system, Paypal's total lack of seller protection. Totally unsafe to sell on eBay anymore because it's so easy to get screwed out of your item and your money!!!
IMO, much of the holds policy has to do with pure money grabbing. If you look around u will see that PP is hacked out of this world. Hacked accs for sale, folks being paid with hacked accs. etc. Hacking programs floating all over the web. check right here on YT & see how many you find 4 instance. I saw some with demos & folks' financial info offered as proof they really work.

U may want to look at my other videos like "Paypal Data Leaks! ebay Compromised Accounts Consumer Alert!" & "Another Paypal Data Leak Reported: Taken by Employee" etc. There have been many, many such lists found. That particular one was actually not near as big as some I have seen.
Even more alarming is the FACT that ebay & paypal logins are 'commercially' available all over the place.

Check this new site out: Geeewhiz. Sellers can leave feedbacks on there for the buyers, and there's also a blacklist you can download. It's awesome!!! Must have for any eBay sellers!!!

Because on $ 1,300.00 they clip you for $100.00 in inflated final value fees and Paypal fees .I'm a former casual seller on Ebay but also i'm a former heavey buyer.They can take there rip off scheme and 21 day hold on funds and shove it up there crooked ass.
Ebid, iOffer, Craigslist, OOdle are all better than Ebay. Moneybookers and Google Checkout are better than Paypal when comes to leveled playing field for both sellers and buyers. Avoid Paypal like a plague if you are a seller!!! Selling using Paypal, 50/50 you will loose everything!

I Sold high ticket item on Ebay ,Buyer sends instant pymt , paypal puts 21 day hold on funds because ,i've only got 51, 100% all positive transactions not 100. Call there office, told i was to ship 1,300.00 merchandise ,awaiting positive feedback ,shipping verification 21 days . I issued the buyer a refund, that will release hold .But they are so funny , they should move to Russia for all i care.

I decided to boycott ebay soon as I found out about their 2008 changes. I don't use ebay too often but the idea came instantly. If this happened to me then it looks like paypal and ebay will regret this decision. But of course they wont change it back because greed is unstoppable. I've just closed my Ebay and Paypal accounts. I was a buyer on Ebay, I never sold anything, but it would seem that PP/ebay don't protect buyer or seller, from the posts above and my own experience. I resent the money they have made from the support of their customers, who beleive, as they advertised, that buying through eBay or PayPal actually affords any protection for anybody concerned, Except eBay and PayPal!

For any viewers unaware, ebay has announced a new policy where they are basically going to start stealing everyone's photos and allowing anyone to use them. You supposedly have the ability to opt out by a certain date. Users are reporting far & wide that they are automatically opted in though & some are not able to opt out due to page malfunction (not saving changes)
I urge anyone concerned to make noise and take action to keep this policy from being enacted. Very doubtful it can be legal IMO

IMO, the very best thing you can do is to close your accounts and try to persuade as many others to do likewise as possible. Try to make change occur through regulation from Gov't, lawsuits, etc.

Some of the links to the various alt auction sites are now changed and others are gone. The point though is well taken, eBay is not the only game in town. I have looked at all the alt sites and some look taylor made for my needs. Really appreciate the info and please continue to boycott ebay. I'm a 100% pos. seller with 122 ratings and I haven't touched them since October 08.

I sold an Ipod and they put a 21 day hold on the item. They give the buyer ample time to file a claim or due a chargeback. eBay doesn't care, Paypal doesn't care, what they care about is making sellers lives miserable by constantly screwing over good honest sellers. Selling fee hikes, new feedback system, Paypal's total lack of seller protection. Totally unsafe to sell on eBay anymore because it's so easy to get screwed out of your item and your money!!!

U may want to look at my other videos like "Paypal Data Leaks! ebay Compromised Accounts Consumer Alert!" & "Another Paypal Data Leak Reported: Taken by Employee" etc. There have been many, many such lists found. That particular one was actually not near as big as some I have seen.
Even more alarming is the FACT that ebay & paypal logins are 'commercially' available all over the place.

I'm a casual seller on Ebay but since they brought Paypal out it's a joke .If you are under 100 feedback or selling high ticket items, you are forced to offer Paypal, they will cancel the listing if you put US postal money order only . Because on $ 1,300.00 they clip you for $100.00 in inflated final value fees and Paypal fees .I'm a former casual seller on Ebay but also i'm a former heavey buyer.They can take there rip off scheme and 21 day hold on funds and shove it up there crooked ass.

I Sold high ticket item on Ebay ,Buyer sends instant pymt , paypal puts 21 day hold on funds because ,i've only got 51, 100% all positive transactions not 100. Call there office, told i was to ship 1,300.00 merchandise ,awaiting positive feedback ,shipping verification 21 days . I decided to boycott ebay soon as I found out about their 2008 changes. I don't use ebay too often but the idea came instantly. If this happened to me then it looks like paypal and ebay will regret this decision. But of course they wont change it back because greed is unstoppable. I've known of many big screw ups caused by paypal alone that've happened and even around me. You would think this would effect the purchasers of Ebay mostly but hopefully this boycott will make ebay fall like dominoes

People in Oz & everywhere should know I just stumbled upon a website which appears to be selling hacked stolen PayPal accounts.
Paypal doesn't really seem too safe, IMO. Seems the least safe AAMOF.

Can Any one suggest another auction web site to list items for sale!!!! Ebay has it all locked up & they Know it I've had paypal forced on me or I will not be able to list any items UNLESS I ACCEPT PAYPAL!! I sent 6 emails to them to ask why & received 6 different answeres so they don't even have a clue as to what the hell they are doing !!! Raise your voices thru Newspapers, TVs & Radios Talk Shows, Investment / Stocks & Shares magazines, internet blogs etc...
Only the stock investors can shock ebay effectively.
Imagine, if this boycott can turn bearish on ebay shares, just a US$5.00 fell....
BUT, boycott must have good reason/s.
List down all unjust rules/fees & etc, to convince people. Otherwise is not fair to ebay.

Ha! Ebay is offering one month free store! I joined 2 years ago and got my first month free. In August, I had built it up to 250 listings.....BAM! They increased the store listings from 3cents to 6cents - a 500% increase.
Things have only worsened in the past 2 years.

How's that boycott thing working out for you? Its working great for me, lots more sales! Pride is a strange thing, like beating a head against a brick wall when they are too big to care. EBay is still the biggest internet market most folks will ever get so trash if you want, there a billions of shoppers out there!
