People that own karts, and play in the parking lot with them almost always have no talent. When people owns karts and actually race them, they usually have talent.
The best thing to do in cases like this consists of writing clearly the very model by Yamaha that you got installed on your kart.
As far as I concern, I could list several 4-Cycle Yamaha engines, most of which thought for motorbikes, but no 4-Str. liquid cooled engines specificaaly designed for karts.
@sniper2x4 wat does the video say u idiot it doesnt say man shows off its kart yamaha his off his car u dick fuck i know its been 1 year u probbly grown the fuckup
i got a question here guys. im new at karting, and well i dont know much about the brands and stuff, so i just wanted to know which would be the BEST chassis makers? like a top 3, cuz im planning on putting one together and need to knoew the different components i must get. let me handle the budget ;) just tell me the best manufacturers
ok... but hey, another question. in competition, are the rules stated by the FIA? and if so, is it possible to do stuff like put the radiator at the back? or add a spoiler to improve adherence? (i thought i might as well ask if im gonna get one) or like, change the shifting mechanism to something more comfortable? i also see flaws in the steering geometry, and i would love to be able to do what i saw in the hyper-karts which is to put the brake before the actual steering pivot point...
no it has to be standard. no tuning, no changes at the chassis, nothing. radiator also has to be on the normal place. but thats only for competition..
how boring... i might not do competition then lol... and instead get a different engine and stuff. cuz hey there's a lotta stuff you can do to one of those karts, i mean the aerodynamic setup is ridiculous, and i know a trick or two about variable geometry suspensions so why not try? xD
I had an Emmick for several years in the Midwest and it was fine when I raced 4 stroke engines or Yamaha Sportsman (can muffler) but when I moved to Miami and switched to Yamaha Heavy I had to get a European manufactured kart (Tonykart) to be competitive. There's just not enough money to back the development of a good American chassis that will compete with Tony Kart, Birel, Sodi, Swiss Hutless, etc.. I wish there was but American chassis are pretty bad compared to the european chassis.
Go to your local kart racing track and experience driving and or racing a kart in whatever class is appropriate for your age group. Learn how to race/drive first! It will take several YEARS of experience before you get good enough to actually tell the difference between chassis brands. At the beginning level (regardless of engine size or class), ALL major kart manufacturers are good.
In karting, it is NOT the chassis or engine that will make you fast....It is YOU!
@JGMagoo so true!! got a 90's chassis and on my first night I was able to keep up semi decently with all the guys with 2009 10 chassis. mind you, this was my first time racing ever, chassis is only to hold everything together more than anything :)
u should race its fun butt if u cant drive dont race cause you will run over someone like me who is like the best driver uve eva seen
