  • must have fallin over alot

  • Nice robot... the music match the robot... cool...

  • Simply amazing I would buy this model if lego sold it!

  • uh, i love this.

  • i would like to formally request that you teach it to do headspins, like a breakdancer. ;-) you're not far off with the legs-spread headstand!

    keep up the good work!

  • all of these robots similar to this (starting with IT) look like it must be a pain to program. putting a little show on for us :P on its head. Great robot. bit slow but that does'nt mean it isn't awesome.

  • @megamindstorm101 Yes it is not going to win a speed contest even of the Lego Bipeds. But No other Lego biped in the world can climb steps. The basic programing is rather simple just must be dead on. The AI part is getting very hard. It looks like I may even push the limits of the bricks Ram as well. So many varibles to cover.

  • Wow! Very nice job. I teach a high school engineering class that uses LEGO robotics. I plan to show this clip to my students this year.

Can you give us some info? How many NXTs did you use? Did you use NXT-G? How many motors...

  • @michaelfski Thank you. This uses 1NXT brick, 2 MindsensorsMmx(new port splitter for servo motors. It plugs into a sensor port that gives you full control of each motor x2 and has a extra plug to then still add a sensor or another Mmx, daisy chained). Programed in NXT-g. 7 Nxt servo motors. This work is still in progress, though it is autonomous, I am working on making it have AI. To be able to Know when it comes to stairs and then climb, to know when the steps end then walk, then to climb down.

  • @222Doc Also at my home page is some details of the mechanicals, mainy how the planitary joints work and how to build them, spit view.

Also I would recommend joining nxtasy.org This site is run by some of the most talented (Many are Lego MDP) people you will find in one place(not me I am a padawan :) ). It is also a recommended site from Lego Mindstorms linked. Moderarted as well. Many topics are covered, third party hardware, software and projects. Hope to see you there, Doc
