  • this is what he really did in the temple, no matter what boring priests say...

  • Hus voice gives me chillsss

  • Those lepers scared me when I first saw this on t.v. as a kid back in the early 70's....really great production.

  • 4:05 grim reaper?

  • "Many meta-physicians have spoken of the return of the "Christ." The return of "Christ" is and will be in the form of many who will embody the new genetics. The individual who has embodied twelve strands of DNA or has become "Christed" moves beyond limitation within human form. In moving beyond limitation, the individual also moves out of fear. As all of mankind embodies the new genetics, civilization will gradually restructure itself to be based on unconditional love."

  • a true activist and healer...tell him not to be angry about it all...he died because of it...literally or metaphorically...your choice...our death...

  • Leprosy - symptoms may include, but are not limited to: breaking out into full chorus with other sufferers, chronic speeding up while singing (both are possibly caused because sufferers often find that they can hardly talk, but have no such difficulty singing, causing excitement at this discovery) sufferers may also have an affinity for emerging from caves,

  • 1:17 Jesus reminds me of Stone Cold Steve Austin in this scene, Arrive, Raise HEAVEN, HEAL!

  • I love this scene! This shows us that Jesus was only human after all! We sometimes ask too much of him!

  • its like I am re living everything that happened back then

  • @Hunterxii : Creepiest part, if you really thinks about it: basically people haven't changed. The technology and societies may be 21st century, but it's all the same tendencies. "Now why'd you choose such a backward time in such a strange land?" Judas' character asks of Jesus later on in the musical. Answer: Would it have really mattered?

  • Someone hit Jesus' berserk button o.o

  • 00:58

    Ringo

  • I can see his hard abs through his white robe:)

  • Isn't this where he's looking for Marian in the laundry basket? Where's his whip?

  • @Elpeligrito: Marian in the laundry basket? What do you mean?

  • Oh no, jesus is being attack by a hoard of zombies! somebody save him!!!!

  • I don't remember Dementors in the Bible...

  • Jesus with a gun....DUDE. But seriously, like it or not this is where we are thanks to Clinton actually. This is Capitalism of the Church (er, extortion rather) and the Poor Looking for Freebies.

This is what I see now...

  • jesus is badass..

  • Ninja Lepers

    The Worst Kinda of Lepers

  • 2 dislikes are the lepers :)

  • @andreabubus wops sorry i wrote the bad word... i ment the pharisees :) Sorry my mistake

    :'(

  • the men in 3:53 =o

  • 2:15

That's 50 years of bad luck Jesus

  • And then Jesus was like TO HELL WITH THIS TABLE (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

  • LEPERS definatly Most COOLEST SCENE in movie(:

  • I love Judas' face when he sees Jesus knocking everything down. He's just like da' fuck?

  • i love when jesus and the apostles show up, and the apostles are just standing in the doorway like "oh no, jesus is in a rage."

  • They're going to release a new version in 2014, but I can't imagine how it will be any better than this. This is my favorite scene.

  • I love rage-quit Jesus. It makes me realize he WAS a guy, not just God

  • get out ! they're waiting !! oh waiting for you !

  • Zombies at Jerusalem!!! They had eat Jesus!!!

  • I have a question that maybe someone can answer. Does Jesus act out in such a terrific show of anger because he is human? I never understood his outburst. He preached of doing the opposite.

  • @KhrysHermary I'd say that it is part of his human side that makes him act out here. Although as the song says "My Temple should be a house of Prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves." What I remember about that is that in the time of Jesus Christ, people had to pay Roman money to gain 'temple money' so they could enter for their sacrifices as well as prayers. What I got from all that (if it makes any sense to you. Sorry if not) was that the temple was not what it was meant to be.

  • @KhrysHermary I could have that completely wrong though :-P

  • @KhrysHermary Even god got angry. Look at Noah's story

  • @KhrysHermary No, I think he acts so violently because the temple is supposed to be such a holy place and it was basically turned into a marketplace and desecrated.

  • Jesus was the original table-flipper.

  • Jesus Smash.

    XD

  • Jesus Christ Rockstar

  • the poors to scared and jesus saying leave me alone wow i never thiught that jesus act like that

  • @jaimekstillo1

i guess even jesus has his limits

  • @jaimekstillo1 he didnt. Him saying "theres too many of you and too little of me" is never in the Bible. Remember, the guy who created this play was Andrew Loyd Weber, a known atheist. He saw Jesus as just a man, and not God. Hence why he couldn't actually heal these people and why he was never resurrected in the end of the movie. However, the music is outstanding and SOME of the events in this movie are accurate. And its something to think about.

  • @M3GTR

Were you there? How do you what's accurate and what's not? People like you drive me insane.

  • @M3GTR by same logic no Christian could make an Atheist movie. Tim Rice wrote the lyrics, Webber only wrote the music. What's wrong with showing Jesus as more human?

  • @Fontroy Especially since he's described as quite human in the Bible too through this scene.

  • @M3GTR Atheists don't go around saying, "Jesus was just a man, and totally unimportant, so screw all the Christians who believe him the son of God." They can think they way Christians do if they'd like to bend their perception. Weber just chose to use that scene to enforce Jesus' human side, showing not only is he the son of God, he's the son of God in the form of a man. And so what if he didn't heal them? So what if he didn't get resurrected at the end? That means nothing. unless you want it to

  • @M3GTR I thing ALW has a better understanding of him than you do

  • @jaimekstillo1 he is just one man so far, he hasnt died and become a part god yet, he can only do so much, that is why he died on he cross too, to help every one always and for their sins

  • hmmm looks a lot like capitalism

  • @Mikevodka21 except they were selling goods in the temple, which is wrong

  • @Mikevodka21 thats what jesus was pissed about, in a temple too

  • The leper song is my favorite in the musical, so powerful

But I gotta give credit when Jesus breaks everything in the temple--so hilarious

  • I. WOULD. FOLLOW. THIS. JESUS.

    HE IS A BAD ASS.

  • @SeanaLPurvis He came as the Lamb, but he returns as the Lion. You haven't seen anything yet!

  • @ambariel I know. And I can't wait. :)

  • @SeanaLPurvis According to the story told in the Bible (which is not a historical official document, of course), he was and he did just this. It is just not written in a cool way in the Bible and it is often explained in a very boring way by priests and religion teachers :-)

  • destroying the market looked like fun :)

  • 0:28 - 0:32

    Seduction

  • Stupid Prostitutes.....

  • 1:43....you get those offensive postcards Jesus!

  • The lepers look an awful lot like dementors....

  • What is going on at around 0;24?

  • And that was how Jesus was raped.

  • When all the lepers repeated ,"See my purse, I'm a poor poor man," There was a woman singing, and I chuckled

  • "I got Heaven, I got Hell."

  • *Dances* I love this song!

  • Where is the scripture He quoted from when He said "my temple should be...?"

  • @JGCooney

    It is Mark 11:17.

But the place in the Old Testament is Isaiah 56:7.

  • and the machine gun he knocked over... XD oh and let us not forget the tanks... and the airplanes... how accurate! :D

  • @rainbowXXdaemon

    Haha, those are for ~symbolism~

Just like the random tanks and jets later

yeah, I know, it's random as hell. It still makes me laugh :D

  • @AraliaDeVicario XD yeah, it's great

  • @rainbowXXdaemon haha i was 8 when i first saw this and i was sooo confused

  • @rainbowXXdaemon bro, those are symbols, just tryin to relate it to modern day

  • @rainbowXXdaemon Simon Zealot wasn't that good of a dancer either.

  • @rainbowXXdaemon its called a rock opera for a reason...

  • @rainbowXXdaemon have you never heard of symbolism?

  • @rainbowXXdaemon: It's called allegory.

  • notice how Jesus broke most of that stuff with a rifle?

  • @icestarphantom no, he only hit 2 things with the riffle. then threw it away.
