The old testament is old jewish law and when Christ came and sacrificed himself to wash away the sins of the world there was a new covenant that was created between God and all of mankind.
There are things that were done such as animals being sacrificed to atone for sin as offerings. Christ was the ultimate sacrifice and after him there was no more.

The old testament is old jewish law and when Christ came and sacrificed himself to wash away the sins of the world there was a new covenant that was created between God and all of mankind.
There are things that were done such as animals being sacrificed to atone for sin as offerings. Christ was the ultimate sacrifice and after him there was no more.
