@misterkiller89 What kept the three sections together was the Bob Dylan : Like A Rolling Stone song inspiration: 'You used to be so amused at napoleon in rags and the language that he used.' And the whole factory in the 60s set and Eddie Sedgwick inspiration along with Empress Josephine for the last section who was Napoleon's wife. And i love how at the very last section he had Marianne Faithful singing The Velvet Underground's 'all tomorrows parties' I loved it. It was very nostalgic in a way.
@misterkiller89 Anyway, I watched this again and read your comment again... Just wanted to point out again how there WAS a very consistent theme, you just don't get the cultural/decade references which totally made the music fit in with the theme. So nostalgic.
I dont think it makes sense to sew leather by hand when a industrial sewing machine will do a much better job with such a heavy duty fabric. Hand sewing is perfect for flour work and tailoring but stiff leather I am not sure
I don't know about you guys but John Galliano's 10 year for spring 2007 with his Japanese inspired collection by far my favorite. However, when John Galliano delivers he delivers true passion and I love it that he doesn't hold back and just goes for it! I especially apperciates his 40's outfits to me they're always stunning!
who put we -1, i love dior more than my life, im telling the true, but john galliano always will be the best fashion designer in the world¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
well I think the sense of exclusivity and the rich materials are all there... look: the are NOT that much people who can afford boots that cost 16.000 euros! and the third dress was the same that Gisele wore in the Academy awards when she was dating Leo DiCaprio
This is a brilliant collection, love the fact that it is not the most extravagant like other Dior collections, but love it never the Less, LOVE melody Woodin in this one, shes the first model in the final section :) xxx
i came up with some editorials of this collection recently. what i can conclude: the detail is AMAZINGGGG!!!!!

the show was decent, but not Dior's best couture. There wasn't a main/consistent theme
the music had potential, but it sounded a bit too messy and didn't really fit with the show at all.
the gowns at the end were beautiful though!

it is sure that spring couture is more difficult than the fall one as you cannot put alot on.

I love how this collection is more 18th century inspired. We need to bring back 1700s fashion :D
