  • this is not good for you -_-

  • You hear crackling cause that candle is burning u IDIOT -_-

  • So do the same principles apply to bum candling?

  • 00:56: "A vacuum"... Err... nope! They're a hollow tube!

The 'feeling' of a 'clear ear' is part placebo and part the effect of having the popping stopping. If someone crinkles paper by your ear for 5mins and then stops you feel you can hear better. It amazes me that people buy these, and amazes me more when people claim they actually do something (other than line the pockets of the seller!).

  • How? Go buy some at a quack store, light'em'up and stick them in your orifice... Why? Because your stupidity is only slightly less than a person who would try to pray the earwax out.....

  • ear candles are a great example of a dangerous scam product that does nothing.

  • Idiotic like all the herbal remedies. Science has proved all this as worthless..to bad these dope smoking hippies are to stupid to figure it out.

  • idiots

  • very bad idea to clean your ears. ask any medical professional, doc, nurse.

  • in the immortal words of penn and teller......BULLSHIT!

  • im so proud my sisters boyfriend is friends with the guy who invented ear candles hes rich as hell!!!!

  • XD so your an expert at putting a candle in your ear?? damn how many years of collage do i need to get a candle eating degree???

  • @D4NI3LGONZALEZZ How many years of *COLLEGE did it take you to learn how to spell college?

  • Dumb white trash.

  • she babbles WAY TOO much!

  • shes an expert guys, dont worry.

  • I'd bet all these critics have never even tried them. I don't believe all the claims, but what i do know is, they make your ears feel GREAT!

  • @gmx1100

It's called the placebo effect. This common effect works wonders on tools like you.

  • Don't do this it will fuck up your ears even more.

  • it doesnt work its fake and if u light it without in ur ear does the same thing and it fuckin a lie

  • fire this close to ear is stoopid

  • @ManagFTW66 So is your spelling :-)

  • You're an expert at being a credulous cunt! This should be against the law!

  • the wax the candle "pulls" into it is from the candle itself... not ear wax.

  • "Since wax is sticky, the negative pressure needed to pull wax from the canal would have to be so powerful that it would rupture the eardrum," says Lisa M.L. Dryer, MD, writing for quackwatchdotorg, a web site devoted to combating health-related frauds, myths, fads, and fallacies.

  • OMG!!!! I would be so scared that I would "hear" the fire and start freaking out!!! My mom was fired from her job and we eat cereal at every meal now! People ... please don't fire you're ears !! PLEASE!!!

  • Would all those who like this, please contact me. I have some snake oil for sale.

  • Doesn't work you noob

  • Gee...she really drank the Kool-Aid !

Most of what she's saying is nonsense.

  • @fairlightdawn112 a lib bleeder

  • retarded people. The wax you get is FROM THE FUCKING WAX PAPER. It also puts a shit ton of the wax into your ear.

  • Actually, there is no vacuum effect at all.

It's measurable. If you're going to make the claims, you should at least do the tests.

And the claim "just be smart"? An Alaskan (ex-Texan) nurse was killed by an ear candle. Want the link? Just ask.

P.S. Ever burnt one that isn't in your ear?

  • how can u say its a scam ....

    ie.

use a q-tip before you use the candle...

then use one as soon as you get done with the candle,

you will be in shock how at much it loosens everything up!

  • @123january ever filled your war with warm water in the shower, rinsed it out and done that?

Wow, same results and you don't get candle wax in your ear.

  • @123january exactly. i don't believe it actually pulls wax out...but it does loosen everything up, and it feels great.

  • That would be the last thing I would do - letting someone shove a lit anything into my ear. It has been proven it does not work.

That said it is your money to spend.

  • Lady bent over a table with a candle in her ear tells me to 'just be smart'. Thanks lady.

  • medicine? this is a bloody joke!

  • its a scam, no one shows any actual wax coming out

  • It's funny how she's babbling on and on with a candle in her ear hehe ^_^

  • WHAT IF IT SUCKS YOUR BRAINS OUT?

  • "Just be smart!" Says the woman with a tube of burning hot wax suspended above her eardrum....

  • @DaveASL LOL and I might add, she is saying this to an audience of youtubers!

  • Too much talk not enough showing!

  • ear candling does not work, idiots.

  • Continued: It's no different. All will have the same result. The "ash/wax" is all depending on how it burnt. I have been candling for 10 years and even though it's a cool thing for people to see afterwards, it's not the wax, but my clients LOVE the way it feels in their ear afterwards. Who am I going to argue with them, but I am teaching them before I do their ear that it will NOT suck the wax out of the ear, it's more of a soothing and calming process.

  • There is no vaccuum. It's no different that when my dad would blow cigarette smoke into our ears. It's just a soothing warm smoke that enters. The FDA is actually starting to crack down on the stores that sell the ear candles because of these false "vortex" things. It's been a proven fact that if you do one candle in a jar, one candle in a cup with oil, and a 3rd candle in someone ear that results will be the same.

  • you know this is bullshit right? learn some basic physics. a vacuum is caused by a differential in pressures from one point in space to another. there is absolutely no vacuum being created here and in fact you would see if you just lit one on fire a bunch of waxy residue actually comes out of the candle at the end which is all ending up in your ear. just an example of why you should have paid attention in that high school physics class of yours.

  • why not just stick a vacuum to your ear?

  • No it doesn't act as a vacuum. No it doesn't pull up any wax. It doesn't remove anything. Light one and don't put it in your ear, just let it burn. You'll see the same stuff left over that supposedly is vacuumed out of your ear.

  • If you're considering this, obtain syringe used to give medicine to children orally. It will be a model of an ear canal. Then light the candle. You will find the procedure removes just as much ear was from the syringe as it is purported to do from a real ear canal. That is because the so-called earwax was from the candle, not the ear. Particulate candle wax discolored due to heat. The wax, when heated is heavier than air, and falls inside the candle tube.

  • dabigjokeoftheday...You are an idiot

  • Ok you need to use ear candles to get rid of that nasally voice bah

  • Light a candle and and hold it against the table... You'll be surprised had how much "ear wax" a table has.

  • Ear candling is credulous nonsense--the crap that gets captured IS NOT "wax" from your ears---it is from the candle itself. Chemical analysis reveals that it is not ear fungus. Simple test---apply a match to the residue and watch it melt. Ear fungus does not do this.

  • your voice gave me a headache. thanks

  • Personally, I prefer sticking bananas in my ear. I don't light them on fire, though - that would be ridiculous.

  • @NeverevenStudios It worked for me, i got swimmers ear, behind the wax there was water stuck. The mechanism by which it works is suction, you burn the top thus burning the oxygen and thus displacing it with gunk in you ears. Everyone who liked this needs to go back to 8th grade.

  • @samprimmer1 Have you watched an ear candle work outside of the ear? There is no suction at all - the residue is from the candle itself; send it for lab testing if you don't believe me.

  • @farnishk I live in Asia & I believe the Ear Candles they sell here are the real deal. What I mean to say is, maybe in Western countries they have a little bit of a sham going on in order to sell the product to a more skeptic market, the sham being to ADD wax to the fiber of the Ear Candle to create a larger quantity of wax in order to create that "wow" effect which everyone expects.

Yes I have tried to just burn it and no ear wax was there.

  • @farnishk Unless of course the conspiracy (if there is one) is more thought out. There is a possibility that they ADD varying quantities of wax to the fiber of the Ear Candle of different batches in order to create inconsistency so nobody can truly know.

Thanks for your insight, I might just send the wax to a lab, if I debunk it I may just invent one that actually works.

  • They dont work, and they dangerous

  • Ive tried those before, they don't work. I ignited one in my ear and one out of my ear, with the same position and the outcome had the same results.

  • WebMD say it's just big business, but Big Pharma is far bigger!! Big Pharmaceutics.

  • You are putting a candle... in your ear?

  • hi

  • the doctors dont want to say its good because thats four patients he just lost....the ear guy, the, throat guy,the sinus and headache guy....

  • This is fake. To see that it is fake, simply light an ear candle on the inside of a tube, to mimic an ear. Make sure it is clean. After following the process, you will see the ear candle fills with "pollen and ear wax" even though the tube you used was clean.

    This is dangerous as well.

  • Health Canada recommends that you avoid ear candling. It is dangerous and it provides no medical benefits. If you are concerned about ear wax, ask your doctor about safe and effective ways of cleaning your ears. Report any complaints or concerns about ear candles, or any other medical devices, to Health Canada through a toll-free hotline at 1-800-267-9675

  • If you Ear candle back to back consistently for a few hours, you will seem how much wax supposedly came out of your ear.

  • I don't think you know how stupid you look right now.

  • She sounds like the girl in American Pie 'one time, at band camp'.

  • It's amazing that there are IDIOTS who don't know that ear candling is FAKE and DANGEROUS. Google it and you'll see!!!

  • Five students from Creighton University performed their own test on ear candling. 2 identical candles were burned. One in an ear, the other in a dry Erhlenmeyer flask. Both were lit for same amount of time and extinguished in identical manners.

Once process completed, both candles contained a considerable amount of a waxy substance. The candles were weighed, w no considerable difference.

Their conclusions were that the waxy substance came from the actual candle, not the volunteer.

    Research!

  • The ear canal slopes to the front of the face and up towards the top of the head, the way he is holding it is completely wrong.

  • Is she asking a load of questions or is that a special why of talking?...

  • lol ear candling is a scam.

  • This seem like one of those old age "remedies" from back in the 1700s or something.

  • Beverageskater so girls can't be smart or experts at something?

  • your no expert you a girl...

  • saline solution is safer, more effective and ohh sorty your gullible idiots that will take anything that has a name to it. while your at it get that gimp to put on a used condom; yeah you get where im going with this.

  • lol just be smart,,,

u are cleanign ur ear with a freakin candle

  • It's a silly hoax. The stuff you see afterwards is NOT ear wax, it's what's left of the candle. Come on. Think about it. Test it scientifically.

  • @abahawas I'm married to one and have 11 Canadian brothers and sisters-in-law, so a hater? I don't think so. That's not how most Canadian girls I know talk.

  • JUST WOW! both of you are ugly.

  • i find that these do work. you can get them at any GNC or at Vitamin Shoppe. Walmart might sell them, but i'm not sure.

  • ur voice is so loud my ear drums kill lol

  • this is such a hoax. it really doesn't make sense if you apply basic science and basic body anatomy knowledge.

  • I have been thinking about doing this myself, but I'm not sure where to purchase them, could you help me out & let me know where I could get them? Thanks.

  • ear candles do not work and are very dangerous! when i used them the burning wax/wick ashes fell into my ear and burned my ear drum! I couldn't hear right for weeks. Do not use these they are a scam and they can permanently damage your hearing.

  • Wow, this is total bullshit. Want to make another video and explain how putting a candle in your ear does any of that stuff you claimed? Does it matter how big the candle is? What kind of wax/wick the candle is made of? Can I use a birthday candle? Does it have to be in the ear? If so, why? Does it have to be lit? If so, why? All I can say is that you are an idiot for believing putting a candle in your ear does anything (besides making you look like a moron).

  • @wall0645 this aint bullshit try it first it actually works cause i have done it i also burned the candle itselft with nothing and there is no residue left over. but this should only be done when there is pain in the ear or when you feel you need to do it

  • @wall0645 This isn't total bullshit. I've struggled with ear pain for the longest time because I'm a swimmer/diver. I've tried EVERYTHING to ease the pain of swimmer's ear and allergies, but nothing has worked better than an ear candle. You're simply inept for asking such moronic questions yourself. Just because you've never heard of it before, doesn't mean it doesn't work. Don't knock anything until you try it for yourself. She's only trying to help people, get over yourself. :)

  • @everythiiiiing

Since wax is sticky, the negative pressure needed to pull wax from the canal would have to be so powerful that it would rupture the eardrum in the process. However, candling produces no vacuum. Researchers who measured the pressure during candling of ear models found that no negative pressure was created. The same investigators candled eight ears and found that no ear wax was removed and candle wax was actually deposited in some of them! My point? You are a dumb@ss fckshltted f@g

  • @RoyaltyBank Good jarb, Mr. Google. I've tried them, and split them open, and found plenty of wax. They work for me, and thousands of other people. Put your "money" where your mouth SHOULD be. Btw, I'm fucking perfect, dur. Kthx.

  • @everythiiiiing

The wax you are finding is not from your ear, it's from the candle. Try burning one not in your ear and you will find the same waxy substance. Not only that, but the candles frequently produce more wax than the ear canal is even capable of holding. You and thousands of other people are naive morons.

  • She has a fucking cone in her head.

  • try one of these cones in your butt...be careful not to draw out any brain matter !!!...can you believe these two turd knockers ??...OMG you got got to be democrats!!!..stupid , stupid stupid !!!

  • ear candles dont help :D she should try to clean up her brain ...

  • I hate dumb whiney bitches that think they are experts because they know how to use google. If this really works, why does she sound like there is kleenex stuffed in her nose?? Sinus problems much?

  • Probably the most annoying voice, ever.

  • LMAO this shit doesnt work i tried it.. doesn't do much.... plus listen to her nasel ASS!!! lmao dont the ear ,nose ,and throat connect?! she's and expert. yet the still stuffed up.....wtf

  • ur one ugly bitch

  • lol i cant believe theres 2 grown adults on camera doing this shit with a straight face lol

lol "just be smart" by putting a candle in your ear LOL moron.

  • physics experiment: take some peanut butter (earwax) and put a few little dabs it in a jar (ear canal). Now, use your mouth (candle suction) and suck out the peanut butter.

if it doesn't work, maybe heat is required. -try lighting your hair.

ear candles do actually 'work' though, -its called placebo.

  • ...it also cures acne, aids, leprosy, hotdog finger syndrome and terminal flatulence totaly for sure and junk.

  • Where can you get them?

  • Have you even looked this up? It's been disproven. Also, clearly your sinuses are not clear.

  • BULLSHIT.............HAVE FUN WHEN ASH FALLS DOWN THE TUBE AND BURNS THROUGH YOUR EARDRUM..

  • dint see any results.

you sond dumb enough to beileve it though

  • ear candling is just a hoax...I wish people would wake up and smell the scam !!

  • hey ashley, how come i seen other videos and your candle seems to burn real slow? by the 2 minutes the other candles seemed to burn down and already finished the job.

  • FDA is trying to take away ear candles from us because they work. Ear , nose, and throat specialists probably told the FDA to ban them.

  • This whole thing looks like B.S. I just use a bulb thingie that you fill with warm water. You squeeze the bulb, the wax blows out, and you're done. what's this all about?

  • I use one of those bulb squishie thingies. You fill the bulb with warm water, blow it into your ear, blow out the wax, and you're done. I don't get this crap at all. What do you need fire and wax for? Looks like quackery to me.

    I'm just saying........

  • the brother is cute ;)

  • i hope you go deaf you stupid cunt

  • @anyprophet

    hah

  • @anyprophet

    rofl

  • Wow, a fool and her money will soon be parted, huh?

Actually ear candling is more likely to cause ear infections than cure them. Plus, numerous studies have shown that the contents of the burnt candle are not ear wax, but candle wax, as the same material is present even when the candle is not burnt inside an ear.

    Ear candling is pure quackery.

  • It's only dangerous if you are an idiot and do it wrong!

  • Isnt ear wax a natural product of the body?

Some medical experts? Most medical experts, how about most experts say this is dangerous?

It is only when you see it done you realise just how stupid it is, the flame sucks out the wax? There is no scientific evidence that proves this.

  • thanks! this was very informative (unlike some of the tripe we see on utube). Never heard of ear candling until saw this so was educational and interesting.

  • and then the melted wax falls into your ear and you get deaf

  • ear wax is there for a reason..

  • Erm....

  • my nuts itch.

  • Dam people seem to pay attention and conduct research (google) on something as unimportant as this....Only if they could use that time for researching about something that actually matters....

  • @Greekboy178 - actually every person possesses unique insight and this helps to distribute information.

Imagine a person who has heard of this technique and needs to know what the hell this is - now they know!

  • This chick looks like KassemG lol.

  • @Se7enS1nner hahaha so true

  • @Se7enS1nner rofl

  • most boxes of ear candles say "contrary to popular belief, this ancient practice is innefective"

  • I miss ear candling! It gave me sinus relieve.

Thank you for sharing this video.

  • This is a bad plan.

  • They are also known as idiot candles.

ROFL at the list of all the other results.

  • All the people discrediting this practice in their comments are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Don't do it!

  • Where did u get those ear candle.....

  • Don't ever use a ear candle, they don't work at all and are very dangerous. Do some research people.

  • Why???

  • YOu can get them at GNC or vitaman Shoppe

  • Why does everything sound like a question?

  • Because the fucking americans talk like that and the rest of the world copies them, it sounds retarded.

  • Thanks for the compliment, now emulate me, third world Frenchie!

  • @Bogframe

i'm sure she picked that up on a college campus somewhere.

  • @Bogframe thats how canadian girls talk.. dont hate XD

  • @Bogframe so true ..

  • @Bogframe hahahaah

  • @Bogframe

    search "Like_youknow" in youtube

she reminds me of the people Taylor Mali talk about

  • You do know that ear candling doesn't do anything but potentially put you in harm's way right? Look up some empirical research on it and you'll find this to be the case.

  • This bullshit doesn't work.

...and don't forgret to have a fire hydrant next to you!

  • Burn some up your nose, you nasal caioodle.

  • you need to flush your sinuses it sounds like...

  • hummm i might try it

  • where is the plate you put under the candle and over the ear? Should have a hole cut in it for the candle to sit in. You do it dangerously.

  • youre not an expert because your supposed to be horizontal doing it vertically can cause the candle wax to enter your ear

  • is this dangerous??? wouldnt the fire burn inside ur ears????

  • Her voice is so damn irritating!

    You hear me lady?! IRRITATING!

  • Stop Lying you spekky Hippy. They DONT WORK

  • Good god people are stupid.

  • your dumb

  • Hello,

I have some fantastic leeches I would like to sell you! They are an amazing alternative medicine that promote health and vitality by removing all the toxins from your system.

They are as effective, if not more effective, than this ear candling thing.

    YAY!

  • ha ha ha nice one Dave! : )

    YAY!

  • @IchibanDave You know leeches are in fact still used today right? In hospitals, by medical doctors....So not sure what you are trying to get at with that one...

  • Ahm,could, ahm, that, ahm, girl's, ahm, voice, ahm, BE, ahm, anymore, ahm, irritating? And, ahm, the, ahm, UPword, ahm, pronouncing, ahm, on, ahm, the, ahm, end, ahm, of , ahm, every, ahm, sentence??? TOTALLY, ahm, uncalled, ahm, for. • Why do people post this on here to show the world how NAIVE and STUPID they are to fall for this "ear candling" SCAM???????????? And for the IDIOT fromthepgh, he probably believes that the Tooth Fairy exists too! lol

  • Scam?...dude have u tried it? cuz im a skeptic and it sure as hell helps...lottery tickets are more of a scam than earcandling and im sure u probably buy em...so good job bein naive n all that...but its funny how everyone who has done it proved to themselves that it works...way better than q tips to say the least...

  • Ear candles don't suck anything out of the ear. That crap at the end of the candle isn't wax, it's melted paraffin from the candle itself. Do your research, people.

On the other hand, ear candling is supposed to dry out your ears, which (if you don't do it too much) can help prevent infection, and can also aid with the clearing out of excessive earwax. The heat is also supposed to relieve pain and tinnitus.

  • I heard five people died from ear candling.

  • wow you must be a fucking idiot then.

  • Is that really called for? I mean really, no one dies from ear candling, so I'm obviously joking. What sense of accomplishment do you get out of being so abusive?

  • fucking faggot. i tried eating the ear wax and its real. here's my scientific study that is exactly what it is.

step 1 - stick your finger in your ear as far as you can and then lick your fingertip.. mmm what's that? earwax.

step 2 - use one of these ear coning candles and when the process is over have a little taste of what's left in the bottom of the cone... earwax!

    fuckinf faggot.

  • HA HA that's hilarious, fromthepgh! It's a joke, right? Uh oh, maybe not. You're claiming that because a candle residue tastes of wax, that wax must have come from your ear? Did you ever go to school? Since you are already a wax connoisseur, try just letting the candle burn on a table. You will get the same outcome: WAX Here's a tip: Science involves more than just writing down Step 1 - Step 2 - And do you think calling people faggot makes you sound MORE intelligent? fucking pinhead
