It has to be rwd to be considered a drift. Just because your sliding does not make it a drift.

You can slide in a fwd car if it's wet or icy but that doesnt qualify as a drift. RWD = Drift

AWD = Crazy Ass Power Slide

FWD = Retarded but sometimes fun to watch becaus it's so stupid

Every car usually uses its front wheels to turn, drifting actually uses the rear wheels to guide the car through the turn though. RWD is only allowed in D1GP because thats the rules, and because rwd FR/MR/RR makes the most sense to drift and is the easiest layout to perform continuous drifts with. I think you are confusing the term drifting, with the D1GP "show." One day it will all make sense to you. or not
