Thanks for this ....such a great tune. And Barney's voice has such a unique sound. What a fine band to back him up. Barney Bentall, Blue Rodeo, Colin James....these are amazing song writers, blues singers and musicians.
The local Kelowna classic rock station plays this tune almost daily, which is fine by me...the radio gets turned up real loud if I'm within reach of the volume knob, as this song is best heard in that manner
Yep - that was the Town Pump in Gastown In Vancouver. I was there. I worked at the Spaghetti Factory across the street & would hang out at the Pump...haha! What a huge blast. Barney & gang were HUGE. What a great song. So upbeat! :-)
Another fantastic rock song, one of my favourite Canadian songs. I can remember back in teh 80's as a elementary school kid thinking what a rousing and upbeat song this was.
Wow i didnt know this guy was Canadian.. I like this song even more now!! This guy is like the Canadian version of John "Couger" Mellencamp.. But i hate Mellencamp but i love this guy... This song is so positive...
Um if you pause this at the 2:08 mark and look at the bottom left corner you'll see me in all my 80's glory. They brought in a bunch of girls to line the front of the stage so I thought that would be a good place to be. Shot at the Town Pump in Vancouver [I think they call it Sonar now]. They moved us from one side to the other as they adjusted shots because it was a small crowd. The song is so much better live and without Cam's Cheese dick keyboards. I just saw Barney with Blue Rodeo last week.
Turn it up, turn it up now baby! Awesome, I remember rockin' out to BB and the Legendary Hearts just across the line in Blaine, Washington. Those were some great times in a small venue.
Reminds me of springsteen

Cool Cat, Knows they're cool. Low key and 1/2 humble. Met him but the band was ghostly. Trooper was much cooler.
