Nice shop. What does the Howard engine power? A motorcycle? or a Car?
I have an old South Bend 9" also. It's handy because it has screw cutting quick change gears. Check out "Florida Association of Model Engineers. Web site.
I wish i had a shop like that. All i have is a garage and some dull old tools and a emco unimat 3 lathe which i´ve bought some cutters and a tailstock chuck to.
Im looking forward to seeing the howard engine run, myself i´m slowly collecting material to build a stirling engine.
Awesome shop setup!! I'm about to remodel my 10x10, it's a tornado zone at the moment lol.

I'm thinking with todays money problems I'll just get some cam bearings and gasket kit and put it back together.
I'll pick up a better project like 308 or 350 later on.

You will enjoy it.

The Howard engine is off a rotary cultivator, but based on 1920's motorcycle dry sump engines.
I wish my SB9" was fitted with good quick change screw cutting gears, the back gear assembly on mine is too worn to reliably cut threads :(
