When Kirie is speaking glowingly of a baseball stadium, Miharu is unable to understand a large number.
(Ep 13) She can't understand a billion so how is it simplified for her? By referring back to food of course! Bananas which excites Miharu. Let me ask you this: what do you know of Miharu's past? I know Kirie shares a childhood with Yukinari and that she wet her bed once and Lisa used to have a friend whom she animated with magic. Koyomi has a long-lost father and Tomoka hates her size and being treated as a kid. Miharu, all we really know about her is she's naive and eats a lot.
Let me make this clear however: I don't mind flat or dumb characters AS LONG AS they are not given a lead role like Miharu was. You can see this clearly in the opening sequences of the show. I don't know about you but in order for me to care about a character, they need to be of substance like Kirie was: someone who recognizes that Yukinari has chosen someone else over her. She laughs, she cries, she loves, she hates, she fights, she flees, she shines, she blushes. Miharu eats.
