"Here is your order sir, and would you like any coffee with your froth today"?
LOL just kidding, nice machine, espresso is a type preparation of the coffee by the way, it's not just any coffee that comes from a machine. What you made was one hell of a cappuchino. That's one handy machine.
My goodness. OK, If you dish out $3000 for a top of the line model, then congrats if u,re just happy to be a coffee drinker that doesnt demand much. You will get a much better coffee from a good quality manual machine like a Domobar or an Isomac that costs less. The milk u texture will be more silky and the quality of espresso is better too rather than the soapwater we just saw.
oh man, you got robbed! $3k for a shitty cappuccino? awful awful awful... and to that guy who is showing off his saeco on this forum... get a clue! that machine will never match up to a highly skilled barista who can adjust various elements of the process to pull a perfect shot. you can never make great coffee in a one-size-fits all machine. please step down... as you obviously have no idea what you are talking about...
That's Sad, I thought this genertion were getting a better understanding of proper espresso coffee. What happened to the beautiful, silky milk poured into a perfectly extracted espresso with a thick dense crema. Where's the latte art, they comes with skill. Not from lazy people who think that the "perfect" cuppucino comes miraculously in 30 seconds. Why don't you watch a video by perrys69, that's a proper coffee
Well, I wouldn't pay $3000 for that but, I'd accept a free one. I think a Rancilio Silva or Gaggia Baby class could probably make as good of tasting espresso with $2500 left over to upgrade the kitchen.
The only good thing I see here are the lack of a 16 year old Barista who'd drink and serve Nescafe if it were up to him and umm.. yeah that's all I got.
Tabu the only thing that matters is that you're enjoying your machine and your coffee.. The art of espresso isn't for everyone (Some of my coowrkers stopped talking to me since I went coffeegeek) so whatever pleases you!
Although if I had 3000$ I'd invest in a different machine;-)
Hey, the guys likes his machine, so what does it matter if you don't?
And, ES7.. if a superauto works for you.. then great. But you saying that your 100% plastic saeco machine will beat a Semiauto+grinder setup makes you sound just as ignorant as the people you're arguing with. Not to mention, you're wrong.
"But you saying that your 100% plastic saeco machine will beat a Semiauto+grinder setup makes you sound just as ignorant as the people you're arguing with. Not to mention, you're wrong."
It can and it will. Who cares about semiauto + grinder? Wrong according to who some 20 year old kid? Unless you are a professional barista my Saeco will without a doubt brew a better cup of coffee everytime with no effort on my part. You wouldnt understand as you dont own a saeco and clearly never tried a cup.
A better cup of coffee compared to what? How about we take your auto machine, and a equally priced semi machine with a capable grinder. USe the same exact beans. If both machines are properly used, every single time, the semi setup will produce a better cup.
Cleary you are set in your ways and not open to different methods. Ask ANYbody whos hobby is coffee. EVERY single person will attest to the fact that superautos, in the cup, are inferior to a semiauto machine. Its as simple as that.
"If both machines are properly used, every single time, the semi setup will produce a better cup." Complete baloney. Semi auto is never consistent. While you may get a god shot once in a while more often you will get pisswater. Read reviews where people go from semi auto to super auto. Super auto is always consistent always excellent shots whereas with the semi auto you have to play around to get a good shot. Plus semi autos are much messier than the super autos.
Manual work isn't for everyone. It can be said as well that with more control, there is more room for human error. Where the super automatic machines reduce control, they also increase ease and consistency. Super autos are also unmatched if you're trying to keep your kitchen clean. The grinder is built in, so there are not any loose grounds hanging around your counter. As for coffee as a science of hobby i dont care. Superauto is not inferior because there is no room for human error. Checkmate!
Checkmate? Hardly. Correct that Supers are easier to use and easier to clean, but absolutley WRONG that you always get excellant shots. A shot from a superauto is always bad, but its a far cry from excellant. And what reviews are you basing this on? Amazon? Look.. for the normal coffee drinker, a superauot is probably a blessing, but for someone who really loves coffee, and wants to pursue excellance in their cup, a super is the LAST thing they want.
And more often then not you get Pisswater? What? Maybe if you use stale coffee, and don't learn how to use the machine, then a semi wont please you. Spend ten minutes learning how to build a shot, and use fresh, artisan roasted coffee, within 14 days from when it was roasted, and you will have a great espresso.
Are you honestly telling me that your saeco machine will make a better shot, every single time, then my setup? If that actually was true, do think I would have bought the gear I did?
Super gives you "ease of use" at the expense of quality and consistency. There are entire websites, filled with thousands of people dedicated to the pursuit of coffee excellance. Many of us make superb coffee, time after time. Do you think we would spend all of our free time and money on quality equip, perfecting our techniques, and scrutizing every detail if we could achieve the same thing from a machine that all thats required is pushing the button marked "brew"?
Thats the thing. We dont care. Anyone will tell you Superautos make very good coffee and its consistent."Do you think from a machine that all thats required is pushing the button marked "brew"?"
Are you a pro barista? No? Then you wasted your free time and money. Unless your a probarista its pointless.
@JmanEspresso. Almost the opposite is true. a superauto gives consistency above everything else.
A good superauto will a very good shot every time. It won't give the "god shot" of a semi-auto, but it also won't give the "chuck it down the sink shot" that a semi-auto will also give (more often than the "god shot: too). On average the superauto will come out ahead - you just don't get that occassional amazing shot where you fluked it all perfect.
"Correct that Supers are easier to use and easier to clean, but absolutley WRONG that you always get excellant shots."
Umm no youre wrong. Unless your super is broken you will always get excellent shots.
"Look.. a super is the LAST thing they want." Not really. Many people switched from semi to super and are happy that they did. Supers can make a better cup with much less work. Some people are just stuck on their ideas. Like some people only wanna drive manual cars. Is it better than Auto? No.
You sound like you are 14yrs old. YOU are the one who is stuck on an idea. You bought your machine because you wanted convience over quality. and that is what you got. I chose what I did because I wanted QUALITY over convience. I ENJOY pursuing the absolute best cup of coffee I can, using the absolute highest quality beans available, learning perfect technique, to achieve an absolutley superb cup of coffee. Come over here and taste my espresso. YOU be the judge. You will be proved wrong.
Ur right, U dont care. You want an, at best, average cup of coffee in the morning. It is nothing but a drink to you. Well to me and many others, coffee is a passion. And, for your closed minded information, I AM a professional Barista, who just so happens to own commerical brewing and roasting equipment for my home as well. So before you judge me and take me for some teenager who doesn't know anything, think twice. Next time yo wont look like such a closed minded ass.
Do you even know what Fresh Artisan Roasted coffee means? A Roast Date? Degassing? I doubt it highly. So please, tell me how I have wasted my time pursuing something I love? What do U love EliteSoldier? Clearly you dont love coffee, as all it is 2 you is a way to wake up in the morning. Ive seen your videos. The espresso is thin, underextracted, the beans are stale, and the crema is made by the pressurized device inside your machine. Its not espresso, its frothed coffee.
you're so ignorant. maybe YOU couldnt make good espresso from a semi-auto setup, and that is certainly because you insisted on buying your coffee from your supermarket or starbucks or the like, and using an inadequate grinder to match. Because if you hadn't, you would never have bought some department store coffee maker, because you would be making superb espresso. But since you're so ignorant that you wont even open your eyes, that wont ever happen.
About you being a pro barista you need to get off those meds man. After looking at your photobucket pics you need to get off those meds. Your first machine was a delonghi semi auto? And you think im gonna value your viewpoints? Keep joking. I would never even take a delonghi for free let alone drink coffee from it. As for my espresso shots being poor in your opinion, i dont care what you have to say. I saw your picture with your espresso shot and mine has more than triple the crema.
I say your ignorant. Your too immature to post points so you result to just poking fun at people or dissing their pictures. When the fact is your make piss poor espresso from your picture on photobucket. I can say the same to you.You are dreaming that your semi is good when a super is clearly the same quality but i get all the convenience advantages that you dont get. As for your anita i can buy 2 for the price of my saeco so moneys not a factor. I would take my magic anyday over your semi.
As for the poor quality grinder you are using i checked it out. The bunn grinder has steel burrs. Mine has ceramic. Your bunn will not even come close to the grinder in my saeco. In a semi auto setup the grinder is actually more important than the machine. Your grinder is definitely not better than my saecos. Again my father had coffee from a semi with the same beans as in the saeco and he says the taste is the same. Your childish. Best of luck to you. Your coffee is lightyears away from mine
Before getting the saeco magic deluxe 10 years ago my father had the choice to get a semi auto or a super auto. He tried a cup from both. The taste was the same in both cups. NO difference at all. Your dreaming if you say your semi auto is so much better. With my super i get the taste of your semi at the convenience of just hitting a button. Your dreaming if you truly think a semi is better than a super.
You have no idea what you're talking about. The Bunn is a brewing grinder, it doesnt even work for espresso. The shot without crema is an example of a shot made with starbucks beans. the shot next to it is made with fresh beans. UR right about 1 thing. The delonghi IS a piece of shit. Ceramic or steel have no difference in the cup, purely longevity.
You are clearly unwilling to accept help or to learn a new technique. Im done.
Give me the star$ beans. It wont work well with my saeco but it will still have more crema than your cup. "Ceramic, vity."Again you are mistaken. Each time you use your steel grinder it gets more dull and is never consistent. I would know. My saeco magic has a steel grinder. My primea touch + and incanto sirius have ceramic. Big taste difference. No use in learning a new technique when i get the same tasting coffee that you do. Enjoy your coffee as well. People have diff tastes.Best Regards!
Jman stop wasting your time, you'll have better resaults arguing with a wall.
Elite, lemme guess, you're an eXpresso kind of guy? Sour, small, fast and with a bad aftertaste? Go learn a bit about coffee before running around and spreading your hate and your ignorance.
You pay 3 000 dollars for discwasherfoam and a poor shot of espresso? I produce 100 times better coffee on my 400 dollar Gaggia and 800 dollar Compak K3-Touch grinder.
Get a descent semiautomatic machine and a descent grinder to go along with it instead. Much better results after some practice.
Right, keep dreaming man. Like i said the shots in your videos are comparable to the hot piss water sold at dunkin donuts. You paid $1200 for garbage that doesnt even come close to my saeco.
That machine is a big heap of steaming shit my friend, you would be better off heading down to your nearest supermarket and grabbing a Nescafe' Blend and although instant coffee tastes terrible, it still would be a better than the dam water that $3000 chunk of overpriced plastic could produce.
Forgot to mention delonghi is not "the best cappucino you have ever had ! "
Maybe its the best you have tried but then again you probably never heard of Saeco which even the $300 Saeco machines when set up properly will make a better cup of cofee than both DeLonghi and Jura.
I am sorry but that weak stream of coffee turned very light very fast. It did no seem like much of a shot. Auto is great but I'd rather do it manual and make a better espresso/cap/latte, and it can be done well with a machine that is $200.
omg after watching the whole video i was horrified..you got about 5 seconds of real espresso, then it all went blonde.......the milk was crucified......horrifying way to die, no doubt about it
Super automatics will beat up the traditional machines pretty much all the time.
They are always consistent in quality. Unless you are a professional barista my Saeco can make a better cup of coffee than a traditional machine.
Oh and i didnt even mention anything about the clean up after you are done using your traditional coffee machine. Traditional machines to me are just too much hassle and they are meant more for commercial use not household use.
That is a joke. Autos and super autos are the biggest waste of money. Hear that weak pump and thermoblock barely pushing the water through? He must be use to going to Charbux and wanted to duplicate that at home. And people think these machines are faster and easier to clean than the usual semi-auto setup........ Bet that "milk" setup is a pain in the ass to clean properly. Later!
Bet my Giotto premium plus and Macap M4 make a better espresso than that Delonghi piece of garbage, for about the same money. Dude, you got ripped off!
"Automatic machines are for the ignorant and lazy."
By writing that youre ignorant.... Im sorry but not everyone wants to take the time and effort to grind the beans, press them, Make the shot, and all the clean up. Too big of a hassle and the shots will never be consistent qualitywise as in my Saeco. I guarentee you my Saeco will make a better shot than you with your traditional machine. Unless you are a professional barista or own a restaurant the traditional machines are pointless....
Do you really think ANY superautomatic will beat a semiautomatic machine operated by someone experienced? Yes you get consistency from a superautomatic, shit poor quality in every shot. Sorry but I dont see why anyone would want a superautomatic.
I Saw your espresso shots and they look like cr@p. Obviously you never had coffee from a saeco. My 16 year old saeco magic de luxe will make a better coffee than your Gaggia Classic Coffee. Gaggia is junk and i am sorry but from your videos your coffees do not look good at all. I should make a video and show you the cream my saeco primea cups have. Your cups dont have any crema at all. The machine is one part of the equation to make a good coffee beans matter too and you are using sh!t.
Interesting that you think that thick crema equals good quality. For example I wonder how big the grinder burrs are in your machine. Or if all the plastic (ouch!) in your machine reach the same nice temperature consistency like in a machine of metal.
I pitty you, I pitty the fact that you are yet to appreciate a good shot of espresso. I can only hope for you sake that you start to appreciate semiautomatic machines and the art of making a good espressoshot. Not pushing a button, rofl.
If a machine is not capable of producing good crema you go drink it. I can get the same hot piss water from dunkin donuts for 99 cents. Thick crema means you are using fresh beans and your machine is set good. The grinder in my machine is better than your compak $500 grinder. Mine is ceramic, meaning it has more consistent grinds and will last longer than your stainless steel grinder. You dont know what you are talking about.
Go check out my new video where I make a espresso doppio. I´d like to see your machine produce tiger striped crema. Please post a video of you making a espresso so I can laugh.
I did. Its not even close to the crema mine produces. I uploaded a video and theres a link to a photobucket album for better quality pictures. Everyone would agree the crema in my espresso is much better than in yours. If you have a moment check it out. I think youd be surprised what a super automatic is capable of doing. Maybe it can change your mindset to pick one up next time instead of a semi automatic. The superautomatic has many advantages over a semiauto. As i said check my vid/pics.
Gross. You'd be better off getting a PT job at a decent coffee shop for some training and a good (manual) $1000 set up. And an 18 second shot? I suggest you do some research into what good espresso is and how it's made.

Go learn a bit about coffee before running around and spreading your hate and your ignorance.
bendoc91 2 years ago
He's just a saeco primea touch fanboy. Even if he tasted good espresso, he wouldn't like it because it's not out of his machine
And he's a troll. Don't feed him.

the cappuccino doesnt look good at all. I dont think it can make a good latte though...manual milk texturing still rules!
But thats a cool machine! Just a press of a button, you can sip a cappuccino, macchiato, latte etc....
But it's not suited for people who wants quality to their beverages.

I wouldn't want this for 300.00

You pay 3 000 dollars for discwasherfoam and a poor shot of espresso? I produce 100 times better coffee on my 400 dollar Gaggia and 800 dollar Compak K3-Touch grinder.
Get a descent semiautomatic machine and a descent grinder to go along with it instead. Much better results after some practice.
Agathorn 2 years ago
"You pay, some practice"
Right, keep dreaming man. Like i said the shots in your videos are comparable to the hot piss water sold at dunkin donuts. You paid $1200 for garbage that doesnt even come close to my saeco.
eIitesoIdier7 2 years ago 2
youve been done.
fishinglizard1972 2 years ago
That machine is a big heap of steaming shit my friend, you would be better off heading down to your nearest supermarket and grabbing a Nescafe' Blend and although instant coffee tastes terrible, it still would be a better than the dam water that $3000 chunk of overpriced plastic could produce.
clackerz123 2 years ago
Forgot to mention delonghi is not "the best cappucino you have ever had ! "
Maybe its the best you have tried but then again you probably never heard of Saeco which even the $300 Saeco machines when set up properly will make a better cup of cofee than both DeLonghi and Jura.
eIitesoIdier7 2 years ago 2
You must be joking me right? You actually spent $3000 on a de longhi?
Wow... For $3000 you couldve got yourself the Saeco Primea Touch Plus which will beat up even the top of the line Jura z6.
My Saeco Primea Touch Plus should be here Either by Saturday or Monday at the latest.
Even my $1000 Saeco Incanto Sirius will make a better cup of coffee than your $3000 De Longhi or any Jura machine.

I am sorry but that weak stream of coffee turned very light very fast. It did no seem like much of a shot. Auto is great but I'd rather do it manual and make a better espresso/cap/latte, and it can be done well with a machine that is $200.
gmcjetpilot 2 years ago
$3000. and all you got was an Ulka Vibrating Pump like people use in their Aquariums! Bring it back and demand at least a Procon Rotary Vane Pump!
That was one nasty brew my friend~

omg after watching the whole video i was horrified..you got about 5 seconds of real espresso, then it all went blonde.......the milk was crucified......horrifying way to die, no doubt about it

you got scammed, try an e61 group head machine, then tell me if what that thing makes can be considered coffee

hahahahaha you got fucking ripped off
"as good as it gets" is learning how to actually make an espresso drink yourself, not pressing buttons.
go get your money back.
FSUBEATDOWN 3 years ago 3
Not really....
Traditional machines to me are just too much hassle and they are meant more for commercial use not household use.
eIitesoIdier7 2 years ago
oh and its a delonghi
hardly the most fabulous brand in the world lol i thinks you been ripped off at 3000 bux
puggster 3 years ago 2
jeez for that cash ild think it would be quiet
it sounds like the missus banging the next door neighbour and then whiping out the vibrators for some horny action,,
i got a brevell instaint capuchino maker
thats quicker and alot more silent than this
best of all it only cost 55 pounds which is a fraction of that contraption lol
sorry i think its a waste of money
you can do way better than that for a fraction of the cost
even an industrial one would cost less
puggster 3 years ago
That is a joke. Autos and super autos are the biggest waste of money. Hear that weak pump and thermoblock barely pushing the water through? He must be use to going to Charbux and wanted to duplicate that at home. And people think these machines are faster and easier to clean than the usual semi-auto setup........ Bet that "milk" setup is a pain in the ass to clean properly. Later!

Bet my Giotto premium plus and Macap M4 make a better espresso than that Delonghi piece of garbage, for about the same money. Dude, you got ripped off!
coffeebuzzz 3 years ago
This man hasn't the slightest idea of what it means to properly pull espresso.
Automatic machines are for the ignorant and lazy.
The video poster needs to go to a local independent espresso bar and offer them a bit of cash for lessons on slow days at the shop.
Altofsky 3 years ago 2
"Automatic machines are for the ignorant and lazy."
By writing that youre ignorant.... Im sorry but not everyone wants to take the time and effort to grind the beans, press them, Make the shot, and all the clean up. Too big of a hassle and the shots will never be consistent qualitywise as in my Saeco. I guarentee you my Saeco will make a better shot than you with your traditional machine. Unless you are a professional barista or own a restaurant the traditional machines are pointless....
eIitesoIdier7 2 years ago
Do you really think ANY superautomatic will beat a semiautomatic machine operated by someone experienced? Yes you get consistency from a superautomatic, shit poor quality in every shot. Sorry but I dont see why anyone would want a superautomatic.
Agathorn 2 years ago
I Saw your espresso shots and they look like cr@p. Obviously you never had coffee from a saeco. My 16 year old saeco magic de luxe will make a better coffee than your Gaggia Classic Coffee. Gaggia is junk and i am sorry but from your videos your coffees do not look good at all. I should make a video and show you the cream my saeco primea cups have. Your cups dont have any crema at all. The machine is one part of the equation to make a good coffee beans matter too and you are using sh!t.
eIitesoIdier7 2 years ago
Interesting that you think that thick crema equals good quality. For example I wonder how big the grinder burrs are in your machine. Or if all the plastic (ouch!) in your machine reach the same nice temperature consistency like in a machine of metal.
I pitty you, I pitty the fact that you are yet to appreciate a good shot of espresso. I can only hope for you sake that you start to appreciate semiautomatic machines and the art of making a good espressoshot. Not pushing a button, rofl.
Agathorn 2 years ago
If a machine is not capable of producing good crema you go drink it. I can get the same hot piss water from dunkin donuts for 99 cents. Thick crema means you are using fresh beans and your machine is set good. The grinder in my machine is better than your compak $500 grinder. Mine is ceramic, meaning it has more consistent grinds and will last longer than your stainless steel grinder. You dont know what you are talking about.
eIitesoIdier7 2 years ago 2
Go check out my new video where I make a espresso doppio. I´d like to see your machine produce tiger striped crema. Please post a video of you making a espresso so I can laugh.
Agathorn 2 years ago

If it's a sales video (which I think it is)
it's not a very good one.
As good as it gets--not remotely.
Even SB coffee is much better than that--naf said.
koby1960 3 years ago 2
you would think for $3000 it would be a bit friggin quieter!
It sounds like listening to the sound effects from a B rated horror film

What a joke - this has got nothing to do with espresso - or a good LM, for that matter.

Gross. You'd be better off getting a PT job at a decent coffee shop for some training and a good (manual) $1000 set up. And an 18 second shot? I suggest you do some research into what good espresso is and how it's made.
