I had seen the Stranger vids, but this and Downtime are impressive. I love the redesign of the Sontarans, one slight difference and the probic vent 'Achilles Heel' is done with.
I am 45 and this was never shown in usa?...i remember sophie aldred's bio ace book mentioning it...this is the very first time I've ever seen this!...sophie aldred is so cute and "beautiful!"...
@rocketshipstud1-was a direct to video release in the 90s when Doctor Who was off the air. I doubt anyone thought there would be a market for it in the US. There might have been legal issues too. The Doctor could not be mentioned in the film so if they can't promote it as a Doctor Who spin off, who'd buy it?
@CHEESOdorito Im with you, especially Carol Anne Ford, seeing her as a snorty heiress rather in this, when all i have seen her in before is Doctor Who.
Although I will say the acting is really good, I dont think the British understand the idea that direct-to-video is supposed to be bad and campy.
@Cjrrodian V-Cinema in Japan is taken more seriously than in the U. S. Just different Ideas on DTV. I think from another company, but I loved The Auton Trilogy. It was like Torchwood, but with Unit or maybe Warehouse 13
Yes they are, although you can't watch the second one without watching the third one as it's basically half the story of it, and in the third part, it all starts getting very wierd. But still a good watch.
They should seriously think about putting this out on DVD, or at least as a special feature...

the music is bad (though the main theme is cool i must admit) the camera is wobbly but other than that this is awesome

The music at the start sounds like the start of the Series 2 Blake's 7 trailer.

All the spin-offs deserve a dvd release. Well, at least there are the Auton and The Stranger dvd's.

I really want to see the auton films, are they good?
CommisarTeds 2 years ago
To be fair, I have no idea. I saw that they are for sale on the bbv video site. I'm really going to order them once.

Thanks for the upload! Been such a very long time since I've seen Shakedown!
This really needs to be released to DVD!

Actually it was Dreamwatch Media that made this, not Reeltime. Reeltime released Downtime shortly afterwards.
