Where in the world is government run health care working? All I see are countries going deeper and deeper into debt. There is only one country that is not going into debt and they have billions in oil revenues controlled by their government, and that is Sweden. The oldest "social" medical program is the British system and it is failing badly and was started during WWII.
Will someone please tell me of one other county with government run health care that isn't going into deeper debt?

President Obama recently approved a 2% salary increase for all federal employees effective January 1, 2010. Members of the executive, legislative and judicial branch are due for an automatic pay increase in January as well. All this on the backs of seniors who will NOT incur any cost of living adjustment increases for several years.
Also, the per person monthly Medicare insurance premium will be increased from the 2009 premium of $96.40 to $104.20 in 2010 and to $120.20 for the year 2011.

People need to take responsibility for their own health care. I don't mean by eating at McDonald's either, or by taking pharmaceutical medication or by eating anything in a can or box. Our food is making us sick, people! The government pushes vaccines like crazy...our vegetables are radiated and then pasteurized which kills all nutrients. Turn your televisions off and read! The government is not our friend..they want us fat but malnourished and as unhealthy as possible so they can euthanize us.

Taxes for schools are paid through local property tax. Depending on the state constitution, it may be the responsibility of the state to provide for public education.
Where does chipping in for the greater good end? Free Food? Free Housing? Free Medical care?

I failed to mention many things, but that does NOT mean I support them.
I was, and am, absolutely in opposition to any government bailouts, including: Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, American International Group, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Citigroup, Bank of America and the entire Troubled Asset Relief Program.
I dont believe in the government paying for peoples health care OR cooperate welfare,

Silveracity-Are you aware of the Chrysler bailout of a few decades ago. Many warned against it but in the end it was the best money we ever spent. Chrysler paid back the loans, jobs were saved and Chrysler became very profitable under Lee Iacoca. Do you actually understand the implications of a failed banking system ? Many including myself do not like the idea of bailouts but sometimes there is little choice. You cannot intelligently say no to all bailouts.

I am also aware of the implications of a failed banking system. I know it would be very disturbing.
However, I do not believe that a federal reserve system based on fractional banking is the best system. There is always a choice, and that choice is to let free markets work, without government interference.
