Native Instruments Complete is fantastic, Also Reason and Addictive Drums. I used to have racks of gear and the place looked like mission control but now even things like the Bass Station (which was used for the bass in this track) is a "Soft Synth". The emphasis I guess is the the power of the computer, which is a G5 Mac fully loaded with RAM and the best processing I could get at the time.
Interesting vid. I'm not too bothered about remixing as much as composing, but how did you separate the vocal section from the original AND how on earth did you manage to keep the vocals in sync? Sorry I'm a composer with no software... I'm not keyed up on this.
Well, the vocal was re-recorded so that solved the separation problem. As far as sync goes its very easy to time stretch vocals and edit them using software like Cubase SX or Logic.

i dont like reason, i dont think the drum sound are that good. i would have done this on pro logic.
