Adam wanted to hear his take on the song, but I don't think Adam could have envisioned that. Adam is talented and can hit those notes with no problem. He probably thought that Gokey could hit the note. Slash is the cruel one (god I love him for it), he heard Gokey's version and didn't try to talk him down. Who doesn't want to win? I agree with the Allison and Adam being the only two that can actually be successful past AI this year. It would almost be a shame for Adam to get tied down with the commitments AI will force. For that reason I wouldn't mind Gokey being the biggest flop in history except for not being able to turn on my TV without wanting to hit it. He has that effect on me.
