Do you aspire to be the next Spielberg or Cappola? If so, make your film available to the opinion of veterans in the field who will give you constructive criticism and show you a clear direction to pursue.
Turn your passion into a profession at the International Short Film Competition at Aahān 2011 hosted by the Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management in Mumbai, India. With over 1000 short films from 43 countries being screened over the period of the last 3 years.
The most astonishing and prodigious thing about your film is the way your character expresses and displays emotion, I simply admire animators who can achieve that in their work! :)
I enjoyed your movie, I enjoy watching old cartoons that i grew up with that someone was nice enough to upload on youtube, clips of shows i would never see again that were part of my childhood. and it really sucks that those greedy assholes at Viacom want to just put all the tapes in a vault and no one will ever see them again, that is until the release them for a premium price that you have to pay. money is evil and makes people do evil things.
Its officially over! I was personally contacted by an executive at Viacom, who explained how my film got mixed into their system. Juxtaposer was in a film festival that was presented by Nicktoons, and they just forgot that Viacom's rights to those films were all nonexclusive. He personally assured me that Viacom is no longer making a claim to my film. Thanks again to everyone who commented! And also, thank you to Viacom who stepped up, admitted their mistake and apologized, within two days.
Wow, thanks for all the great comments! To give you an update, I did dispute Viacom's claim immediately. And surprisingly enough, after one day of throwing a hissyfit, the "claimed by Viacom" tag has been taken off my video. But just in case things still become sour, I'm very happy that I now have resources to turn to. Again, thanks to everyone for your support!
Fuck you Viacom, for deciding it's a good idea to make money off things they didn't make. Joanna, I hope you fight back. Don't let these bastards take what's yours. Go to hell, Viacom.
I remember seeing this at Hi Mom! Sorry to hear about your Viacom problems. The good news is that the word is getting out, and that's going to be a black-eye for them.
A thoroughly charming video. It's tragic that Viacom is coming after the producer, even though it's clear that this is completely non-infringing. When will we start doing something about this kind of over-reaching corporate power?
I have to say again that I love this. The cat, in particular, perfectly embodies every cat I've ever known, pretty much. Why is it that cats are stuck in an eternal PMS-like state? ^_^

Y'know, I think this was on TV during this Nickelodeon animation festival some years ago. I definitely remember it.
I also remember one called "Exit", which was in French, which I can NOT find anywhere on the internets! T-T

Reminds me of the last rescue dog I got...still have...like the cat, he roared anytime anyone got near him.
Now...even he's a pussycat.
Loved your animated short.

Viacom media conglomerate is irrelevant when it comes to the Internet.
Screw the company and the Neanderthals that run it, just like the RIAA and the CRIA. And the FDA.

Did this short appear on a website, or tv program owned by Viacom? That may be why the Vid-ident program tagged it.

Viacom clearly have a valid claim against this video. It has a cat in it. Some Viacom video has cats in therefore this violates their copyright.
Oh, and that bloke in the green jumper - he's right out. Can't have green jumpers because Viacom own green.

You should post this video on some other sites just in case Viacom does anything to this one- I recommend NicoVideo.

Wow, you really have talent, no wonder Viacom is claming your video as theirs. They aparrently can't come up with any good material anymore.
Don't let the man keep your creativity down.
