Not sure about the best in the country, but they're pretty damn good. I thought they would probably win state BEFORE Eden Prairie lost to Blaine, now I am almost certain they will win state. Cretin-Derham Hall is the only team left that has a shot beat them, and they will have to bring their A-game to even have a shot.

eden prairie has a great defense but they are more known for their offense, wayzata in the past 4 years have had 3 defensive nfl draft picks and only 1 offensive.
they aren't known for their offense, they run a simple rushing yards happy offense that is very good some years like last year for instance when they had more talent than anyone could imagine, but this year they didn't put up big points often yet their defense was still solid as usual. I will be surprised if Wayzata has an answer for James Peterson, he has too strong of an arm and is just a tough kid, he doesn't go down.
Blaine's spread offense is for real and nfl draft picks don't mean anything, Blaine's never had one yet they continually have great teams year after year.
If Mr. Peterson is the best player in the state, then why was John Reis the winning quarterback? It appears to me, Mr. Peterson never met a team that compared to Wayzata.
