i'm at 3/4th of reading a book about his Life -written by John McShane.

in the book are picture of this part of Heath Ledgers funeral service.

underneath the pictures is written : "Mourners celebrate Heath's life on Cottesloe Beach ,one of his favourite places. Friends and Family held a wake on the beach ,dancing & splashing in the sea. IMO this is a beautiful service filled with love.

Your Not Alone Michelle Williams, I know how hard it is to lose a husband and a Friend Heath Ledger, I lost my high School Best Friend of who I did gone to School with back in 1998, My friend was tragically killed in a Fatal Car Crash, he was a TownShip Police Officer and he was only 27 when my friend died back in Jan. 5th of 2008. RIP Heath and RIP Thomas J. Soto.

i guess because heath wouldn't want them to be sad. so they're celebrating the good times they had together instead of sitting there and crying, which they also did for sure.. but i think it's way better to celebrate the good times.

Well it depends on how the person who wants to be remembered. I lost someone who died very young and he didn't want people to cry at his funeral or wear dark colors. He wanted to be celebrated.

i'm happy that they are celebrating his life at his fave beach!

i had seen Casanova when i was younger and fell in love with heath! (haha, how can you not?) and i have watched every movie since then, and i was very excited for the Dark Knight to come out, but one morning i woke up and turned on mtv and the mtvnews was on and said he was dead, that was all they said!

i was really sad for Heath and his family the rest the day and hope he is in peace now!

What a beautiful beach. I think Heath would be very satisfied with the way his funeral was, I just wish it happened when he was old and gray, not when he was 28 years old. I am positive I am not the only one that feels that way. Rest in peace Heath Ledger.
