@pastryparrot1 - Thanks, I suspected so. But the sizzle of the veggies sorta drowned out the rattle of the pasta as it slid into the pot, so wanted to make sure, 'cuz I love soup, and will probably end up making this soon. :-)
I have fennel , onions,carrots,squash,zucchini,tomatoes,corn,spinach ,basil,oregano all growing in my garden . I'm savin this one for when everything is harvested .
I 'm on my way to the kitchen to do the meatballs but I have no noodles so I gotta use rice instead .

Thanks Mary Ann ! Love this soup recipe ! A small amount of each item yields a heaping pot of fabulous, hearty, healthy soup eh !? My 95 yr old mother fell on Sat. night when she was leaving my brothers house and has a badly cut hand and sprained ankle.....I am going to make a pot of this soup to nourish her with while she recovers. She loves Minestrone. ! Thanks again !!!
