Actually, unnervingly enough, Bradford Cox (Deerhunter's lead singer) found the inspiration for this video after going to a zoo hung over and watching a turtle eat a carrot for several minutes. His only really noticeable input about how he wanted the video was "I wanted a video with a turtle eating a piece of pizza".
