The zx12 is quicker as its not restricted , thats the A1 . It always amazes me to how quick this model of zx12 is , if its a A2 then the muzzy bonnie box will sort the speed limiter from activating .
What you need to do, is get to top speed, lift your bum off the seat a few inches, then force out a huge fart. I estimate 10 - 15mph extra. (BTW, you need to ride with no trousers, otherwise the fart will be stifled and wasted).

The A2 looks the same but has a 186 mph limiter on it ,but both have 185bhp (bonnie box cures that ) the later zx12 B models have far more restrictions and 165bhp .
zzr 1400 grey who owned the 12 before the 14 take the secondaries out if you like it now you will love it the power is instant if you map the power commander for it i have a 00 zx12r and the 06 14 no comparison with the secondaries out

12 eats 14 at breakfest...... In fact you can't see any video here of an 14 beating 12. At the peak 14 has more power than 12, but 12 has longer power period, longer torque period and a perfect gearbox
drag strip vids but not top end now if you strip the 14 and busa of its limiters that the zx12 doesn't have. it is over there is no relacement for displacement. this is not bias i own all 3 the 14 and busa are torque monsters that is why they make great inline bikes
all kawasakis seem to get a slight tapping noise when they get higher mileage on them all of mine has but none of them have died despite myefforts ot kill them
12r even for kawasaki Freaks (see name) is a better all around bike..Corners etc however the 14 is less sporty more comfy and better straight line unless you compare dollar for dollar....then...the 12...is pretty nice
I have a ZX12R and can tell anyone that the 14R is a waste of money if you can still pick up a 1200R!! Price difference is enough to give the 12R the advantage. Add an exhaust and a PC and you have the fastest bike on the road for less than either a Busa or a 14R.
i noticed something watch the brake light on the zx14 he hits the brakes when he nears the other bike in his lane the tail light goes from red back to clear right at the moment the zx12 gets to him i own both 00 zx12 and 06 zx14 until the 14 hits the limiter the 12 can't catch it though it is damn close

The zx12 is quicker as its not restricted , thats the A1 . It always amazes me to how quick this model of zx12 is , if its a A2 then the muzzy bonnie box will sort the speed limiter from activating .

What you need to do, is get to top speed, lift your bum off the seat a few inches, then force out a huge fart. I estimate 10 - 15mph extra. (BTW, you need to ride with no trousers, otherwise the fart will be stifled and wasted).
