to be honest i dont like death metal but heel toe is sorta cheating in one sense since alot of the time its on longboards such as axis pedals with really loose spring tension

thedrummer just taps gently and gets no volume but uses triggers to make it loud

plus its not neccisary since kollias is faster than most heel toe players and he uses heel up

you are wrong in many aspects:

1. heel-toe is not cheating, its a technique.

2. axis are not cheater pedals, they are actually hard to get used to!!

3.Triggers are not meant for cheating... even if a drummer like Kollias gets a lot of distance the bass drum won't pick up the notes (hits)

4. Kollias uses swivel foot (ankle foot motion)

5. Death Metal is the best form of metal out there!!!

without getting into simantics thats heel up with a small difference

i dont dislike death metal

i like some nile and behemoth

axis pedals can be abused and so can triggers

that does not mean everyone does it

also heel toe may be a technique but it is un necessary like i said before

kollias is just as fast as any heel-toe player

Well in the past I know he used remo ambassadors(coated) for the batter head but not sure about reso. I bet the heads on this kit are also ambassadors, but just clear.

Usually yeah because they're more comfortable to play. However the drummer from Amon Amarth doesn't yet he gets pretty fast on his budget Yamaha pedals.
