Ace rocks! I love him and I always will. He is a legend. But the drugs and booze ruined him. He plays sloppy and makes a lot of mistakes. Tommy Thayer is technically a better guitar player than Ace. But I would rather pay to see Ace than Tommy Faker anyday!!

@750SWR I agree! The thing is this: Ace created all those signature solos. Tommy Thayer plays them better than Ace does now. But I would rather see Ace play sloppy than see Thayer play all the solos cleanly.Why did I bring up Tommy? Who knows!

I came to this video thinking - "I don't remember hearing Ace do a KISS medley during his set", and after watching it I realise why - because he didn't! Rename the video to Love Gun/Snowblind please :P

Ace is actually taking risks, that´s why I consider him a true artist. KISS are just doing Broadway, they are reproducing something that happened in the 70s. There´s no more danger, no more fire, just calculated business, that´s why Eric and Tommy have to dress and make-up like Ace and Peter. I love KISS and I respect them... but honestly something´s missing.

I saw him on the Rocket Ride tour in Sweden and I saw him in Gothenburg, Sweden on the Anomaly tour. The last one I saw was fantastic. I thought I was going to cry when he came out and opened up with Rocket Ride and then he played Parasite. Fantastic concert. It's a month left until I will see Kiss for the second time in Stockholm!! CAN'T WAIT! :D

@lancetop you're joking right?? Ace was once great and has wrote a good handful of classic songs. Paul and Gene have always been great musicians, excellent entertainers and have a whole catalog of classic songs that have shaped KISS. KISS stands for Kiss Is Stanley Simmons.

the fact that Kiss today plays with a better gear and bigger crowds doesn't mean that they're better than Ace...Kiss's Rock N' Roll spirit and music was on Ace,just listen to Anomaly and then to Sonic Boom,the difference is that Kiss has evolved into a thing completely different than the best Kiss and Ace is still playing that music,that's why I like him better,anyways every Kiss fan should go to a Sonic Boom concert,today's Kiss are still awesome!!

I am a huge Kiss fan. One things for sure Ace was and is still the best writer Kiss ever had. If you don't believe it listen to Anomaly back to back with sonic boom. No comparison Ace's album blows sonic boom away. I do love Eric Singer. Although him and Tommy Thayer should have their own makeup!
