Sierra's an amazing performer, and a great Ariel! However, Kerry understands the ACTING part of performing much more clearly (Which is obvious in basically everything she's been in). She can sound beautiful like Sierra does (Little Shop of Horrors anyone?), and then of course there's Xanadu which is totally off in a different direction! Here, she'd fit tthe role better because she SOUNDS like Ariel is supposed to: An excited teenager!

No, this is when they were working on the show. Kerry Butler is an amazing performer and certainly did NOT perform this to teach Sierra how to sing it! Kerry was not in the Broadway show because she did Xanadu instead, which was a great choice considering it was nominated for multiple Tonys and Mermaid was awful and practically shut out!
