I live in Indiana where it is easy to get a concealed carry as long you are not a convicted felon. When you apply to receive a permit you consent to showing your permit and identification whenever prompted to do so. You have a 2nd amendment right to have the gun, sure, but the state can still regulate the issuance and possession of handguns. Similarly, when you get a driver's license you consent to breathalyzers when probable cause dictates. Carry a gun IN PUBLIC is a privilege, not a right.
There's not much a cop could do that would get them fired. A cop could just go, on camera, on a civilian killing spree, and he would only receive 2 weeks paid vacation while the department "investigates". Then they will conclude that the cop was in the right.
Cops could get fired for: arresting other cops or judges.

Just because a permit may be required in the state in which you live it does not mean that all states require a person openly carrying a firearm to have a permit to do so. Open carry WITHOUT A PERMIT is legal in Arizona, New Hampshire, Colorado (except Denver) and Pennsylvania (except Philadelphia) and many other states.

We must all realize that any law enforcement officer is not the law they are citizens approved by the state, city or county to enforce the laws of the people. But sadly we are realizing they think they are the law and in a few cases the judge. But in their defense we must come to understand why are they being trained this way. All it does is cause more disrespect and fear. Therefore more law breaker= more money to self fund the system. It is becoming a vicious circle. Very Sad.

Hope this happened in my country.
We have similar rights regarding the possession and open carry of arms and freedom of expression.
But, we have to always carry a guns permit and identification...and i believe it is illegal to film the cops in their doings, unless you are a journalist or something. Even tough the cops here smash your video equipment, regardless of your press status.
The rights of peaceful assembly and reunion are also basically the same. Wish we had a equal 2nd amendment doe..

I live in Indiana where it is easy to get a concealed carry as long you are not a convicted felon. When you apply to receive a permit you consent to showing your permit and identification whenever prompted to do so. You have a 2nd amendment right to have the gun, sure, but the state can still regulate the issuance and possession of handguns. Similarly, when you get a driver's license you consent to breathalyzers when probable cause dictates. Carry a gun IN PUBLIC is a privilege, not a right.

There's not much a cop could do that would get them fired. A cop could just go, on camera, on a civilian killing spree, and he would only receive 2 weeks paid vacation while the department "investigates". Then they will conclude that the cop was in the right.

Every state is different, but for the most part you do NOT need a "permit" to carry a handgun. What you DO need is a CHL if you are CONCEALING, which also requires a course.

Just because a permit may be required in the state in which you live it does not mean that all states require a person openly carrying a firearm to have a permit to do so. Open carry WITHOUT A PERMIT is legal in Arizona, New Hampshire, Colorado (except Denver) and Pennsylvania (except Philadelphia) and many other states.

I geuss im fortunate that i live in an area that the officer would have asked what brand of gun im carrying rather than ask for id. and thanks to the good people of wyoming and supported by local law enforcement concealed carry has now been deregulated. "carry on" open or not no permit no questions asked.
