  • lol! i never thought an electric car would do that

  • The purpose of a burn out is to heat the tire up so they will get better traction at the start of the race. You will see Indy cars doing quick left right turns during a yellow flag to keep the tire temp up. It's all about traction.

On the street, it's a waste

  • I wonder if somebody can explain to me the purpose of burn outs with cars motorcycles, or any other motor vehicles for that matter. As far as I can see the sole purpose is to make a hel of a noise, a hell of a stink, and a hell of a mess, not to mention disrupting the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, am I missing something, or is that it ?.

  • Why do they allow children to abuse their parents vehicles like this?

  • looks like you have the original controller or did you tweek the new one?

  • looks like something George Jetson would drive

  • electrics have TONS more torque than gas engine. but, the power dies off at higher rpm for an electric motor.

  • lol

  • "The torque curve of an EV traction motor is flat from 0 RPM to around 5,000RPM"

    WRONG

The controller current has to be taken into effect. IF you could maintain the current at 5000rpm then yes, you'll get the torque but most "EV traction motors" will need some serious voltage crammed into them to maintain torque to 5000rpm. You'll be flashing over the coms by then.

  • *account

  • DC motors have full power at any rpm.

  • actually they dont, it is a parabola in the power-rpm curve. at zero rpm and max rpm, the power is zero

  • I hope everyone realizes that electric cars always have 10x higher torque than any other gas powered car on the market. And if by chance this tweety bird sized car just might have as much torque as an elephant sized Porsche Cayenne GT. or something like that.

  • 10x higher torque where??

  • the tires only smoke because they are made out of dirty oil . =)

  • twit twit!

  • Hahahha ugly thing !

  • Pull over long hair! No smoking zone!

  • Torque FTW!

  • *GREEN POLICE!*

There you go. Fill the air with burnt rubber particles from your electric car.

  • Oops! Sorry about that officer!

As Otmar Ebenhoech said, "My EV would be zero emissions, if my tires would stop smoking".

  • And Ot knows what he's talking about. I even think the electric sofa does burnouts. :D

  • @HotJuiceElectric Where can you find these?

  • @flodeezul I worked at the Corbin sparrow assembly plant in Hollister California sad to say it shutdown in 01, but i think a few ppl still have parts or they might have opened some other place there were alot of parts of un assembled E.V's when they shutdown!!! retail was $16,000 per sparrow! =D

  • @PatrikMacGoohan its ok the tyres are recycled vege burgers

  • Doesn't the electric motor get hotter and hotter and get destroyed if you do that?

  • Nope. The motor is probably the toughest part of the drive system. It is not even warm to the touch after a burnout like this.

The White Zombie uses two of the same type motors that are in Tweety. Search YouTube for White Zombie drag car.

  • Look's like the driver had his foot on the brake when he hit the gas? Probably somebody that just got their licence and he/she was confused. Good luck and don't hit anyone.

  • Yes, that is called line lock braking. That is where the rear brakes are temporarily disabled for the burn. Commonly used in drag racers to warm up the tires before a race.

  • It's Goldmember's car!!!!

  • HA! and who sed electric cars arnt fast...

  • nice m8 im gonna make one with my electric scooter

  • LOL ... nice one ... love it

  • Not a HOTROD because it's an electric vehicle? Watch out world, they just don't show off like gas burners.

  • yes sir

    that was very cool

  • Burn baby burn! Very nice!

  • Yes Tweet. Show us your dark side.
