Yes, it was live, I'm sure of it too. That "resin powder" is called rosin. He even broke a hair on his bow ... And every move tells it's not playback. Moreover, Sugizo began playing violin at 3 y/o, I believe he doesn't need playback ^_^ ! Yoshiki and Sugizo are both great musicians, and together in this duet they're incredible <3 I agree that people should be quiet when listening to something that beautiful - at least they don't really have to scream that loud until it rocks...
